Good question...I looked online at the auto parts store and none show a filter for a 2006 Pathfinder....is there an aftermarket replacement filter?

Nut

I just replaced mine, although I have a 2006. I used a 3/8" ratchet with a breaker bar, turned counterclockwise to relieve the tension and took the belt off.

I made a diagram of the routing; not sure if there is a diagram under the hood. Very simple to do.

Jeez...looks like I would come out better and cheaper to buy a new trans cooler with fan built in and all wiring included from B & M.

2006 Path Transmission question

I know this question is bounced back and forth on here, but I wanted to ask and see what you folks think. My 2006 Path has 86000 miles..I bought it new and I have never changed the ATF . The fluid still looks good..shifts good, etc. I have done the radiator / tranny bypass. Should I: 1. just do a si...

No, I am lucky and mine did not fail. I am checking it weekly to be sure the coolant isnt contaiminated, but I did do the bypass. Nissan may replace the radiator if it fails, but not a $5k transmission. i'm in the same boat with ya........... by-passed both of mine too, and check periodically for a...

06 Path here, but I have 86000 miles so I am out of warranty. If I still had the warranty, I would be at the Nissan dealer now getting the new rad...certainly they would install one with the problem fixed. Nissan will only replace the radiator if it fails did yours fail? No, I am lucky and mine did...

06 Path here, but I have 86000 miles so I am out of warranty. I found this forum a few months ago googling about something else and read it daily now. Learn a lot of good things, especially the tranny bypass. I did mine couple of months ago and have not seen any effects. I live in GA so no cold weath...

Re: 08 Back window

All, I've had my 08 since Mar 2011. Everything works great. I've been deployed since then and now about 2 weeks ago my wife said the back window won't open. Is there some kind of locking mechanism that she might have triggered. (Some cars had a button in the glove box that won't allow the trunk to ...

Make sure you turn it around (turn it 180 degrees) when checking your fluid level. It will sink more in this position. Otherwise you will be hitting the bracket to which it is being secured by that 10mm bolt, causing insufficient insertion, which will give you a low reading on the dipstick. Agree.....

Sivs, hate to hear your experience..I have a 06 Pathfinder with 85k miles on it and it has never given me any trouble. Thanks to this forum, I did do the tranny/radiator bypass and hopefully saved myself alot of money and grief. Did a couple of factory recalls, put in a new battery, new front pads.....

I have a 2006 Path..bought new from dealer..he told me the transmission was sealed and I couldnt check it.

There is a trans dipstick located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It is held down by a 10mm bolt. Take the bolt off and check as normal.
