I wish I could do both...but I think when I put the gauge on, Im going to read the temp as it comes out of transmission itself; that way I will know what the working temp is.

They don't look to be too difficult. Here is a link that has a PDF on a B&M temp sensor. http://www.bmracing.com/PRODUCTS/Cooler-Accessories/Transmission-temperature-gauge-kit Hope that helps. Thanks volvite...I saw that one and saw one where they drilled a hole through the side of the transmis...

Transmission Temp Gauge / Hard to install ?

With all the talk on transmissions getting toasted with the coolant leaking into the ATF fluid, has anyone installed a transmission temp gauge in their Pathfinder?

I have a good place for one beside my VDC since I dont have 4wd.

Are they hard to install?

Well like dj said you could get it revolt for around 2 so if you are looking for a cheaper solution go with that. Has your tranny been acting funny? If it hasn't your tranny should be fine if you do the full flush and bypass the radiator. Well I'm trying to say is that there isn't planning ahead bu...

Prevention is always better than cure! I think if you did the bypass, the only potential reason Nissan would reject a trans claim would be if it overheated. But you'd be having to do something funky or hauling something huge to do that. so true Gadget...when it cools off some here in Georgia, I am ...

The noise hasnt gotten any worse..doesnt do it...

2006 Pathfinder I did the trans / radiator bypass today...I have 86350 miles and I cannot afford $5k for a new transmission. I took the bottom 2 hoses going into the radiator and spliced them together with a 3/8" barbed connector and 2 clamps. I capped off the radiator with 5/16" vacuum ca...
