Sounds Great!

Hey Guys, I have been a long time lurker and occasional poster back in the days when I had my 2005 Pathfinder LE 4x4. I had since turned it in last October since my lease expired, but ended up purchasing a brand new V8 LE 4x4. No more lease since I really liked my Pathy (2005 had some quirks). So, c...

Do you guys know if the V8 pathfinder has a beefier front diff? Good question. I'll check since we have the new V8 here in a couple of lots where I live in San Diego. However, I did check the rear ... they are using the R230 rear diffs, the same ones found in the International versions as well as o...

I wonder what the avalibility of the heavier duty rear end is and what the cost might be to install one, compatibility with the rest of the DL from there... FoFiddy, Just a thought, the Armada has an R230 rear diff. This may be the same as the R230 diff for the Pathfinder in other countries. Now, I...

Bad News ...

Well guys, bad news  .. at least for the US market. Here is the qoute directly from ARB: "Your inquiry came back to me from Aus and I have done some checking into it with engineering. As you state at present we do not have lockers for the late model Pathfinder. The RD106 is not designed fo...

Well, after emailing ARB for over 2 weeks, I still don't have an answer. Will there be a locker made for the R200 rear diff we have in the US. I know for sure they are making one for the R230 that everyone has worldwide. Also, I do know they are making a locker for the R180A front diff as well. At l...

Re: R51 ARB DIFF LOCKER...sometime this year

Emailed ARB-USA a couple of days back regarding diff lockers for our Pathys, here's the reply I got: Guess we'll have to wait longer jorgecar, I have been doing a little bit of research. I noticed you have the diesel version. From what I have been gathering, the diesel has the R230 rear diffs. Ours...

Yeah, I think when the Pep Boys cats broke out their chalk line and eyeing the wheels with one eye shut, I should have questioned it then.

VDC Problem Finally Solved!

After a week and a half of fiddling, re-installing the OME setup, and checking all connections and torque specs, my problems with the VDC going crazy on turns has finally been solved. Turns out, the VDC was working perfectly, just as it should. Problem: Pep Boys wheel alignment SUCK big time! I imme...

Still having problems with the VDC on turns. Can't figure it out. I have checked all connections and bolts, re-align the wheels, rotated and balanced, and still get the SLIP indicator on turns around 50-60mph (mostly going from one freeway to the next). Now, I do notice that it happens when truck st...

I notice that everybody who's installed this suspension so far has said it's stiffer and more controlled even for pavement driving, yet also all of you have LE Pathfinders. You guys have any feel about how it compares to the SE suspension? I actually got an SE specifically because it was so much mo...

Disconnect the battery for yay long (10 minutes?). When you refire the car, the VDC light will stay on, and will recalibrate as you drive the first yay far distance. Worth a shot. Yup, done that. VDC light and Slip light stayed on for a while, then went away after 10 minutes of driving. Did not hav...

Well ...

Ok, I finished the install of my OME suspension this weekend. First a recap: I have the 608 and 609 springs which are the mediums up front and mediums in the rear. Install went fairly well. I decided to rent those cheapo spring compressors and sure enough, like blink said, it was impossible to get t...

Hey All, I just got my OME set yesterday (after a 1.5 week delay because my local shop ordered the 2004 set instead). I went with the MEDIUMS Front and Back (OME 608 & 609). I opted for the medium up front becuase I am fitting a Shrockworks front bumper next month. OME claims that the spring rat...
