ARB Locker Option

@reds12t, Do you have 4WD? Are you looking for traction off-road when needed, or are you looking for a limited slip for on-road traction? If the former, why not just add and ARB Air locker. They make it for the R230. That way you don't need to step down to the R200 and you get to keep all the strong...

If using the remote reservoir for the rear of the PF, do they come with a bracket to mount the reservoir to the shock body or somewhere else, or is it a custom fit? I am just about to order Chaos Fab UCA's with the Radflo coilovers for front, have OME extended rear springs and airlift 1000's for re...

I can add a little more info to this as well since my pathfinder was used to design and test the rear shocks, and I have used both for a while. You guys are right about the emulsion where the nitrogen gas is mixed with the oil. The high pressure of the nitrogen prevents the oil from cavitating thus ...

Hey Steve,

I just got back from Mammoth last weekend from our yearly mountain bike trip with the buddies. 4 Days of hiking and biking.

Great pics as usual. I love your stories because I always feel like I'm there.

Was this on your new camera?

I 2nd rragpaoa. I've searched for some quick disco's for our PF for a while. I can say that the un-bolt and tuck method (as dirty as that sounds) is the best way to deal with your sway bars. Cheap (free, except for the bungie cord) and rather quick. The best quick disconnects yet! Also, keep sprayi...

I agree that a locker is way, way better for this terrain. As the videos show, I smoke my tires and have to carry too much speed through the technical uphill sections. Our ABLS requires higher engine RPMs (and therefore higher vehicle speed) so there is enough torque to distribute to as few as one ...

rragpaoa, Do you know does anyone make discos for our Pathfinder? Or did you just unbolt the sway bar? Any worry about the rear springs coming out with the rear disco'd? No one makes any discos for the 05+ Pathy. However, all you need is a 17mm box wrench and you can remove the links in about 6 min...

Hey IceT Some great videos and shots. It's good to see others out there really making use of what a 4x4 is intended for. Questions: 1. Did you disconnect your swaybars? It's a 5 minute job, and you just tuck it up and hold it with some bungies and you're good to go. With your extended Radflos front ...

Re: How we spend our time in Russia

Not that fresh (last autumn edition) but I hope interesting movie about our short trips around Moscow/Russia. This is a so-called holidays 'pokatushki' :-) Which we trying to organize every 2-3 weeks for Nissan owners (mostly Patrols and Pathfinders). http://youtu.be/MdUK9bN7xVs?hd=1 Great video, p...

Thanks Ollie C for the info. It's a pretty kick-ass system. I have had the 4x4 All-Mode since the new Pathy came out in 05. I have gone to many a places since, you name it, and it has never let me down. Too bad here in the US, you have to upgrade to the Premium LE or V8 in order to get it. The rest ...

Hey 1armyguy, Everything was pieced together. I actually brought my Pathfinder to Radflo to get fitted and tweaked. Night and day both on-road and off-road. Makes a huge difference on the trails. Even though the IFS/IRS is limited in wheel travel, the suspension articulation is awesome (the ability ...

Aha! I know what that is!

Okay, not really, BUT, try this: Take some spray-on graphite grease, bought some at Home Depot, and spray the 3 rubber bump stops on the hood. Make sure you spray inside where the rubber bump stops attaches to the hood.

Nah, just check the diff levels. It's real easy. Just use a standard 1/4 socket extension, without any socket attached, located on the top right of the diff, and stick your finger in the hole, and you should feel fluid. To me, diff oil smells awful, so you will defintely know it's diff fluid by the ...
