Matt,

I didn't relize the funnel had a plug, nice. I need to get one of those. Still can't say were your extra coolant came from. My rear heat was not as hot today as it was yesterday. I think I will do the bleeding steps again.

Hello Matt,

I didn't have a funnel to use when I did mine, so the coolant just blew out with the air from the radiator. I did have to add coolant after the engine cooled down so check your level. The coolant in your funnel is just lost when you remove it. No tthe best design I guess.

I had the same problem and I solved my issue today. I just posted this in the "2006 Pathfinder thermostat replacement" thread. I think this is a good place to post it too. It is that time of year again and we are all needing our heat. My heat has not blown warm at idle since I last changed...

No heat

It is that time of year again and we are all needing our heat. My heat has not blown warm at idle since I last changed my coolant and never blown warm in the rear at idle or at speed. There are schools of thought that suggest the thermostat is bad and yours may be. I replaced my thermostat today hop...

It's that time of year again. The hatch falls down and hits me in the back so I'm replacing the struts without any more delay. I was about to place my order, and thought I had better check the glass struts too. Glad I did as they are not holding the glass up, so I'm replacing them while I'm at it. A...

That looks really good. I would like more details on the swap please: is this a plug and play or does it involve a lot of custom work?

Thanks,

Joe

Not trying to hijack your thread, just wanted to share a resource I had used. If you have pictures I'm sure everyone would benefit from a DIY.

Thanks,

Joe

Here is an awesome link to changing plugs on a frontier. Same engine as in our Pathfinders. I changed my plugs, Serpintine belt and tensioner all in just over an hour. Not a hard job, just need the right tools. I used a 12" 3/8 drive extension with a magnetic swivel spark plug socket from Advan...

If it was 4 qts is was a drain and refill. A flush is 12 or 13qts.

I have an 05 Pathfinder and I recently had the fuel sending unit replaced under warranty. I had over 70K.

I called Nissan North America and they confirmed for me that my vehicle was covered.
