Throw-out bearing. Quiet until it expands with heat, then loosens up to make noise because it's worn out. (MY GUESS) My '01 is at 149,000 and in need of a new clutch; so all will get changed out...pressure plate, disk, and throw-out bearing. Anything else on these Pathfinders? Anyone? Really have to...
