Sometimes, that code could be triggered by a failing 02 sensor also....but if it's been over a couple hundred miles since reset and it hasn't come back, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Letting bolts soak in PB Blaster for a few hours usually works for me, if that doesn't do it, I take the torch to it and it works everytime. lol :D

Getting the Bilstein HDs will they give you any kind of lift or will it leave the vehicle at its normal height? thanks.. Also on those two kits referenced above did you have to have a professional install them? or did you do it yourself? Bilsteins are shocks only and will not effect ride height. De...

'05 4x4 that just rolled 100k....and not much to report. It's squeaking on cold starts so I'm assuming it's going to require a belt and tensioner replacement soon.

So the R51 is the last generation of the "real" SUV Pathfinder.....
It's a dying bread. We'll all end up in hybrid smart cars with no other option than color choice of silver or white.

Actually, it will be more of a "minivan." Not what you want, certainly not what I want, but definitely a "minivan" now.

Fixed that for you...

Over sized tires (more weight) = decrease in mpg
Lift will also effect mpg
Our trucks aren't that great on gas to begin with, so it doesn't help with the things you have done.

I've always thought the access cover for the filter is too small... just my opinion, its more easier to take off the skid plate than try and fish out the hot, leaky oil filter through the access provided. I pull my skid plate off when i do my oil change. Just not worth the mess. i don't have hands ...

I haven't had any issues with my 05 4x4....It's a great truck. I have however bypassed my rad cooler just for precautionary measures. One thing you have to understand is that people are not going to post things about a car they never have issues with. Add to that, every car manufacture make and mode...

I see you only have 62000 miles...that's pretty low mileage for that year. What kind of maintenance have you done? Spark plugs? 02 sensors? Air filter? How often do you check tire pressure? What is the tire pressure set at now? I have an 05 also and seeing about 17.5 mpg with a city/hwy mix driving.

You also want to work your way from the furthest (master cylinder to caliper) to closest....rear passenger first, rear driver side next, front passenger, front driver side.
