33's on stock suspension '94 SE

My undersized 29's that the truck came with finally picked up a screw and it's now time to put on the right tires again. The SE's came stock with 31's, but I am interested in 33's. I know I'm going to have to get rid of my fender flares, but are there any other things I need to change in order to ma...

Look and see if your spark plug wires are good. I had a break in my wire right inside the rubber boot and it was sparking against the cylinder head, causing those symptoms. And yes, a bad knock sensor will cause the EFI. What "usual suspects" have you replaced. I don't know where to sugges...

94 SE speaker amps

both of the amps in my truck are dying (intermittently losing left side audio, or both front speakers,) and I'd like to replace them (already done the deck, speakers and tweeters, looking to do a nice midbass setup with no subwoofer, just a clean, nice stereo) But I can't figure out where they are? ...

I had a whining noise under revs. Is yours only when moving, or when you just rev the engine at a stop?

Mine was at a stop, and it's just the power steering pump. I just need to replace it one of these days.

I just use my regular old spark plug socket, on a 6 inch 3'8 extension to drive the new one in, and to break it loose I just attach a U joint with another 6 incher on it.

To be honest, it's really only hard the first time you do it, lol. After that, you know where to feel around for.

Yes, it's very easy to reassemble incorrectly.

Though it shouldn't have caused any harm. just take it back in and make sure they do it right.

NGK is the original equipment for Nissan and all Asian-based cars sold in the US, along with Denso (Toyota's use both Denso and NGK). NGK platinum plugs will work fine and last longer, which is good considering what a pain in the butt it is to get to the #6 spark plug! NGK G-powers (about $3) are g...

94 SE, need sport mode switch and door pull surrounds

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had a beater old rig that they didn't need the sport mode switch out of. My switch broke, but the previous owner had replaced the OE struts with the same electronic ones, and they still work great. But without the switch, it's stuck in sofa mode. I also lost my do...

An update -

I found the problem. No wonder I couldn't find it, I had to look at night!

#1 spark plug wire is sparking against everything EXCEPT the plug. Through the insulated rubber.

Never seen that happen before!

The only part that would be trouble would be the exhaust crossover (requires firewall modification or a custom exhaust)

Other than that, it's pretty direct-fit. Little bits of fabrication here and there.

Hesitation and stumbling

This has been the hardest damn problem to diagnose. VG30e, 5 speed transmission. Bone stock engine and trans. Firstly, it's completely intermittent. Sometimes it's perfect, other times it's terrible. At idle, I can hear tiny stumbling misses. And as I accelerate (manual transmission) it stumbles and...

Fixed the problem. I was unaware about the 1.5 quart overfill requirement on 4wd trucks. Just to be safe I drained the castrol and put in 5 quarts of amsoil synthetic GL-4 (nice $78 in oil...) 75w90.

Back to shifting like butter.

MTF questions on a 94

So I did a big fluid day (coolant, engine, rear diff, tranny) yesterday, and used castrol hypoy C 80w90 (MT5, synthetic blend) for the tranny and my diffs. The diff is happy again, but my transmission now feels like it came off of a tractor. Very notchy, when it's cold I am almost catching the synch...
