Checked mine against the GPS on the way home and it's what I would expect. Speedo is 2mph slower all the way to 80mph. I didn't go further as there are horrendous winds, wet roads, and blowing snow. Not ideal for a 100+mph run :) We've been having 40-50mph winds, which were conveniently a headwind ...

The GPS is more accurate. Cars are typically calibrated so the speedometer reads a little higher than the actual speed you are traveling. For instance, when I'm crusing at 70 mph on the speedo my gps usually reads 67-68. This is the case on all the vehicles I've owned with the exception of my Jeep ...

I would typically say the GPS is right. Just need to make sure you're exact on the lower speeds because when you're comparing. 60mph is usually the standard comparison point (and can also be calibrated with mile markers to verify odometer as well. The numbers you're posting seem to be a little weir...

Re-calibrating Speedometer?

Evening people, I had the joy of some open road today, and had it up to 125MPH (on the speedo) Yet my GPS (NOT a built in model, it's a tom tom) said 133MPH. Now at 50MPH they both read within 2MPH of eachother, and at 75MPH (speedo) the GPS says 81MPH. Not sure how accurate the GPS is, BUT should i...

33k miles? thats like what 50,00KM roughly? Lowest i've heard is around 80,000Km. My trans died at just under 100,000KM (60,000 Miles) so at 33k? like others said, possible but unlikely

It's raining and my sunroof will NOT close. Help?

So about 2 hours ago i get into my truck, and realize there's a massive wetspot on the tan cloth type thing covering the sunroof, not thinking i pull it open and a good 2 cups of water dumps into the cabin. my sunroof is stuck. It is stuck in the "popped" position, not slid open but the ba...

Not discussing the transmission problems with these trucks here... BUT i did come to say if you get it and it is running well you will LOVE it. Lots of power, good towing capacity, great ride quality for a BOF, low body roll ( IF you install the airlift 1000, highly recommended) looks good, and last...

Nissan just left the whole mid size import SUV BOF market to toyota as their christmas gift to them, and as a royal bitch slap to us.

It only shoots up on the initial ignition process, perhaps half a second? then goes back and stays steady at at around 1000 RPM's (i watched it closer today)

Wait, is it not normal for the engine (on cold start) to shoot up to around 2300RPM's then back down to idling at about 1100-1250?

my point of view is that they will leave the BOF and rugged looks alone, and just change the engine options to include a smaller engine(s) with forced induction. At least that is what i hope for. Perhaps a 3.0T V6 with around 280HP, the 5.X V8 for the towing guys, and perhaps a 2.5T I4 with around 2...

Good luck. If Nissan won't help just hope the dealer wants to take care of you. Perhaps remind them WOM accounts for ALOT of customers.
