Here is my issue, a bit of a long story so bear with me.

Late last year I bypassed the radiator. No issue prior to that, I did it once I found this forum for another issue which was the the driveshaft u joint bearings. However, since i found out about the bypass I did it.

How would you hook it up? Take the return line from the current external and run it into the inflow on the new one?

won't it restrict air flow through your existing trans cooler and/or radiator if you mount it in front of or in back of either?

I have decided to add a second trans oil cooler and keep the radiator one bypassed. Has anyone done any specific ones?

Anyone have a part number for this valve or does the whole break booster need to be replaced?

Highway driving should not be a problem with overheating, since your external cooler is most efficient here. Unless, of course you are towing something up the hill, adding more load. This is the first time I'm hearing of any immediate issues as a result of the bypass. Since your fluid level is good ...

Gents, I performed the bypass and my first long road trip the xmission started shaking. This was at about 3 hours of straight driving at highway speeds.

In city driving and 1 hour drives the transmission is flawless.

So, if you do the bypass, and take long road trips, the external is not good ...

Im at 110,000 and never touched the trans other than to do the bypass. Should I do this drain and fill you guys are talking about? 4 quarts to do it?

I would do it. 4 quarts should be all you need to do one drain and fill. An extra quart on hand wouldn't hurt either.

Where do I do the draing ...

Sounds like your trans fluid is fine.

As far as the heat shields, I used some hose clamps in areas where the original welded clamps had rusted away. Been good for 2 years so far.
