Rotorian How would you hook it up? Take the return line from the current external and run it into the inflow on the new one? Yes. where will you mount it? won't it restrict air flow through your existing trans cooler and/or radiator if you mount it in front of or in back of either? Forward of radia...

Second external Trans Oil Cooler.

Hello, I have decided to add a second trans oil cooler and keep the radiator one bypassed. Has anyone done any specific ones? I am thinking of going with something like this: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/HDN1/404/01366.oap?year=2005&make=Nissan&model=Pathfinder&vi=1431464&...

Highway driving should not be a problem with overheating, since your external cooler is most efficient here. Unless, of course you are towing something up the hill, adding more load. This is the first time I'm hearing of any immediate issues as a result of the bypass. Since your fluid level is good...

Re: Beware of bypass and long drives.

the external cooler, under nearly all circumstances, is sufficient we all know this can you please post your transmission temps after the bypass If you are asking me, I have no idea. however there was a post around these forums or even this thread that showed the xmission temp to be 220 after the b...

Re: Beware of bypass and long drives.

Gents, I performed the bypass and my first long road trip the xmission started shaking. This was at about 3 hours of straight driving at highway speeds. In city driving and 1 hour drives the transmission is flawless. So, if you do the bypass, and take long road trips, the external is not good enoug...

Okay,

Looks like pull drain plug from square pan, drain, and refill, right?

Should take too long.

Im at 110,000 and never touched the trans other than to do the bypass. Should I do this drain and fill you guys are talking about? 4 quarts to do it? I would do it. 4 quarts should be all you need to do one drain and fill. An extra quart on hand wouldn't hurt either. Where do I do the draing and fi...

Sounds like your trans fluid is fine. As far as the heat shields, I used some hose clamps in areas where the original welded clamps had rusted away. Been good for 2 years so far. t Thank you. I guess I need to look at mounts, and/or maybe they buggered part of the driveshaft installation when they ...

Hello, sorry to necro, but did a search on this forum and brought me to this post. Basically, during thanksgiving roadtrip this year, after about 1600 miles of driving, I started getting a vibration in the drive train. As soon as I would let off the gas, it would go away. I took it to a local mechan...
