Front and Rear carriers for V8 Pathfinder M205 and R230

Hey Guys, I have a perfect used front AND rear M205 and R230 differential assembly from my 2008 V8 Pathfinder. I took them out because I wanted to switch my gear ratio. These are 2.94 ratio. My truck had 59K when removed. They work perfect and can be inspected before purchase. I would do $600 for th...

Thats Correct. I swapped the entire front carrier and the entire rear carrier. Front carrier can be from any 2008 or newer Titan, Armada, or infiniti QX 56. Rear carrier can be from any Armada or QX56. MAKE SURE you verify the correct ratio before installing. Two salvages yards I dealt with had ther...

Does anyone else with R51 feel the steering "darts"

From day one I have felt my steering seems to "dart". Meaning if you would take your hands off the wheel it would tend to go one way or another rather fast depending on the road, surface, braking etc. No other car I have driven felt like this. I had the car checked over twice at dealer for...

Awesome. I have been debating doing same thing. Was really dissapointed when i realized third seat was standard. It screwed up the whole layout of the truck. Im doing mine in two weeks. Will use it to store tools and safety gear. Good job and thanks for posting.

There should be a definitive way to tell if you have the old or updated radiator. I don't want to just go on speculation.

How do I know if I have an updated Radiator

I have searched these threads and can not find a definitive answer to this question. I have an 08 pathfinder v8. I want to make sure I have the updated radiator. Otherwise I want to do the by-pass ASAP. How do I tell if I have a newer style radiator? Or are all of these things prone to failure? Than...

If you havent done big projects on cars or anything mechanical forget about it. These kinds of projects end up being twice as involved as you could plan for. if u do attempt it good luck and keep us posted.

Rust!

I plan on keeping my pathfinder a long time. Im starting to think my biggest challenge is going to be rust in the years ahead. After doing a lot of work under my car i couldnt help notice how much rust there was for a 4 year old car. Anyone have any experience with older pathfinders 05-06? Salting r...

Hey, For me it was a no brainer i needed to switch the whole carrier. I could not find any used gears anywhere. The gears and parts to rebuild it was almost as much as a good used assembly. The other big thing was that no shop would quote me anything less than 650 to rebuild the diffs in labor. I ju...

Got my front carrier sorted out. Everything works exactly as it should now. Just confirmed my 0-60 is a legit 5.9 seconds. No amount of intake, exhaust, or chip mods could make this much of a difference. And not to mention keeping everything "stock". Again I didnt do this for speed so much...

Ok guys its done. I got both diffs switched out in 6 hours. The difference is night and day especially on the highway. I feel like I could tow a house. Im guessing my 0-60 is around 6 seconds if not the high 5's. The thing is that my highway gearing is still good for cruising. 2200 RPM @ 70 mph. Sur...

Ok guys tomorrow is judgment day. I now have a front and rear 3.36 final drive in my posession. I ended up renting a bay at a do it yourself shop for the day. That way I know I will have all the tools and a car lift to make this job easier. My three concerns are this. 1. For some differential part i...
