Re: Steering feels terrible

I may have described it wrong. When I'm going above 60 or so it will wonder without me turning the wheel. When I begin to turn the wheel to correct it slowly starts to turn in the direction im trying to turn it but it feels like it takes way more rotation of the steering wheel to get it back to wher...

Re: Steering feels terrible

Maybe upload a picture of the alignment numbers you got to start with. Also are your poly bushings offset? I don't know much about alignment specs but I doubt see anything wrong with these. Itd be great if this issue is just a shitty alignment though. None of the bushings are offset I dont think.

Re: Steering feels terrible

The inoperative horn could be an issue, it sounds like you got the wheel spun enough to pop the spiral cable after reassembly. That shouldn't affect the steering, but you'll be pulling the wheel off to fix it. The offset wheel in and of itself shouldn't cause steering symptoms, but it sounds like y...

Steering feels terrible

I finally finished replacing almost the entire front suspension and headers on my 08 pathfinder. I disconnected the steering column to get room for the header replacement. When I put it all back together I obviously(because now the steering wheel isnoff-center) didn't have the steering wheel matchin...

Re: Headers for V8

If your stock exhaust is done, then yes why not aftermarket. less money and can look/sound nicer Sounds questionable to me. Also no reason to extend the tailpipe other than what some folks consider cool. Maybe they thought they were making it look "cool" for you. Even my 11yo said immedia...

If your stock exhaust is done, then yes why not aftermarket. less money and can look/sound nicer Update: do any of you all have exhaust shop experience? Got the pathfinder bank from a custom exhaust shop today and it sounded great. Went with a borla proxs muffler. When I looked under it I noticed t...

Re: Rounded manifold nut 2008 V8

Something like this might help. https://www.amazon.com/EEEKit-Splitter-Cracker-Pressure-Extractor/dp/B07MV7NQ1N Sorry for the multiple posts. should have organized my thoughts better. Found a relative with a welder. Took all of 5min to get it off. Now I get to enjoy hours of putting it all back tog...

Re: Rounded manifold nut 2008 V8

Have you tried a vice grip directly onto the stripped nut and just take the stud out with it? With the location of this nut in front/under the manifold pipe I cant figure out any way to grab the stug without taking off the manifold and hoping there's enough stud left to grab afterwards, which is wh...

Re: Rounded manifold nut 2008 V8

With enough Free All/PB Blaster these bolt extractors from HF haven't let me down yet. https://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-drive-metric-bolt-extractor-socket-set-9-piece-67894.html Didnt work. I can't get enough room to force the bolt extractor onto the mangled nut. As of now I think im just going ...

Re: Headers for V8

[/quote] I always thought on modern Nissans the stock exhaust is not terribly restrictive but the stock cats are. If u are doing straight pipes that issue is taken care of. Also be SURE to get an UPrev tune on a dyno to unlock the actual potential of your breathing improvements. Its the price of an ...

Re: Headers for V8

Im currently replacing my headers and b-pipes and I cant find anywhere that sells a cat back exhaust for the V8 pathfinders. What are you guys planning on using? The stock cat back costs a fortune but it might be the best bet if I cant find anything else. I'd also prefer to add a deeper less restric...

Re: 2" lift UCA question 2008 V8

You haven't mentioned if you're sticking with stock tire sizes. If you move up to 33" tires, I suggest you go with aftermarket UCAs that add a little caster. The rear seems to be different for everyone, but the end solution always tend to be adjustable bushings for the rear UCA or gussets weld...

Rounded manifold nut 2008 V8

I'm trying to put on JBA headers and got all 7 other driver side nuts loose. The last one closest to the front of the vehicle rounded with a six point socket. Question is; would it be easier to get the correct socket(unusual inverse hex looking thing) to remove the stud with the nut attached or try ...

Spindles very rusted

First off, thanks for everyone's replies to my barrage of questions I've asked the past few weeks. They've really helped. As I've been pulling the entire front suspension out I'm wondering if my spindles are worth replacing or if significant rust on spindles is normal and not a concern. OEM replacem...
