After Market Stereo

I want to upgrade the stereo in my 08 Pathfinder. I have the DVD package w/ navi. I contacted Crutchfield for options and they said there are none basically. I just put a Kenwood kdc597 in my wife's truck. I LOVE the thing. Streaming from phone via bluetooth is so cool. .mp3s, iHeart, SPAM DO NOT CL...

I finished the install when I got home, and yeah, the gas springs DID compress when they were attached. (I was just a little worried.) That hatch flings open now!

I ordered those 9416K149 struts from McMaster-Carr. They don't seem to want to compress. Is there a trick to getting them going? (On a positive note, this seems to be a really short job - 10-15 mins).

Noisy Climate Control Fans

My climate control fans (I assume?) are extremely noisy. I can't tell if it's better or worse winter vs. summer. It sounds like a "whirring" behind the vents. It seems to let up when a door is opened. It certainly didn't do this when the Pathfinder was new. Has anyone else experienced this?

DVD/Navi bypass

I'm sure we're all familiar with the annoying "grey out" of the buttons on the navigation when the vehicle is moving. Or not allowing the DVD to play on the front screen unless vehicle is stopped and e-brake is engaged. I know then that the fix will have something to do with a speed wire a...

Hello all it's good to be here on the forum. I have an '08 Pathfinder LE and have had it since 08. I've wanted to start doing some mods on it and being on a message board is always the best place to get help, I think. I'm on a motorcycle forum and I've done a bunch of work with help from those guys....
