05 Rusting away... so bummed ðŸ™

Got an 05 that has prob been the best vehicle that I ever owned starting to rot away  Michigan winters is taking its toll on this beast with the wheel wells starting to bubble and just under the driver door there's a bunch or rust bubbles.... hate to see what the underneath looks like! Prob not...

No more clicking... Took about 15 minutes to install, drove it for a half hour and no more noise.
The only thing I noticed between the old and new one was the butterfly was real loose to operate on the old valve.
Hope this one last 75,000 miles

Gone to the dealer and its not a warranty or a recall item. Nissan dealer said they didn't have the part in stock and only 3 available in the whole country. So looks likes the dealer can't even get the parts themselves, quick fix is to glue it. I have one coming Wednesday according to my dealer. Sa...

Skinny2 you make a great point! Plus you have to wait 2 hours before starting the motor so the glue can dry.. Got a buddy who works at the Nissan dealer, I'll check if he has this part in stock... I'll see if Nissan possibly updated the part or if it's identical to the what I have and needs to be gl...

Looks like my 05 (70k miles) is doing the same... 2100 rpm, she rattles a little but getting noticeably louder...
Is this something the dealer covers under warranty or should I just do this myself?

Yup, my 05 with 70,000 miles stays on at start up and under approx 2000 rpm all the time.. I kinda didn't mind cause figuring it keeps the engine cool but can't amagin what it's doing to my gas mileage.
So what is the general consensus with the aftermarket?

Re: ok

so the more I looked around, the more I'm thinking that perhaps a magnaflow is a better option than this flowmaster. also, is the factory exhaust 2.25" or 2.5"? I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere online. although i'm thinking it's actually 2.25" now. anyone? Just poste...

Re: Looking for exhaust advice..

I have a 2007 SE 4x4, and have an exhaust leak, and bad cat. Going to get an aftermarket set up, anyone have advice as to which one i should get? Looking to get a few HP or MPG with a less restrictive, nonstock system. I just had a Flowmaster Super 50 (52458) muffler installed and sounds pretty swe...
