P0430 and my fix

I don’t have any ground breaking information to add. This is more of a historical searchable entry with all the information in one spot. I bought the OEMTOOLS brand offset crowsfoot 1/2” drive O2 sensor socket (p/n 25249) to remove my sensor. My line wrench was slipping for some reason so I figured ...

Re: Need help with towing

Your last reply got me thinking so I read through your owners manual and see that you have the shift selector option B. Basically the automatic with selectable manual mode PRND-M+/- vs the other option of PRND32-1 with an overdrive button on the shifter handle. I also saw in your manual where it doe...

Re: Need help with towing

...... considering it's "just" a V6 is pretty impressive IMO. That's one thing I forgot to point out and that I agree with. Dragging the load I did this past June there was no time I ever thought to myself "I'm operating unsafely here." Of course this wasn't a high sided boat or trailer acting like...

Re: 100k service and XTP Intake Spacer Install

Good deal and thank you. Regarding XTP, I'm disappointed I didn't install it earlier. The dyno charts are out there but the real world driving difference is absolutely quantifiable. For me the telltale sign is the lack of downshifting while at cruise when encountering soft inclines. I have some some...

100k service and XTP Intake Spacer Install

Using info gleaned from SMJ's info here: https://www.thenissanpath.com/topic20836.html I went ahead and did the 100k/105k service today at 101k. Figured since I had to do the spark plugs, which were burnt down to nearly a pin head by the way, I might as well take the intake off and install my spacer...

Re: Need help with towing

Without being on the trip with you I'm going hypothesize that your vehicle was operating as intended/expected and here are some things leading me to that. Although degraded fluids, plugged or not well functioning cooler, etc could have exacerbated your issues. Your R52 had a CVT transmission whereas...

Re: 2005 R51 Pathfinder Splash Guard Installation Instructions.........

So did the holes for the screws have to be drilled to install them originally? No drilling whatsoever. My 06 originally didn't come with them. I checked earlier today and the screws in the fender well using existing holes and the push pin retainer is used on the very bottom on the outside of the sp...

Re: RevUP with JBA Headers

You could burn a hole through your pistons among other things. Run fat and you could foul plugs and maybe cats. Running lean is when the really bad stuff happens.

Re: No heat in the cabin.

So it is what I thought it was, but the V6's don't appear to have one at all. Like SMJ pointed out, all i could find was a heater pump that was similar. Must be a V8 only part.

Re: 2005 R51 Pathfinder Splash Guard Installation Instructions.........

No install instructions needed. When you match up the guards to your fender well you will see exactly which (i believe it was only 3) screws need to be removed per spot then you simply screw them into the splash guards:
999J2-XR00003 Splash Guards, Front
999J2-XR00004 Splash Guards, Rear

Re: RevUP with JBA Headers

I don't know if I'd personally bother with a custom tune if all I did were long tube headers. The ecu probably would relearn and get it close enough. But now if you had other mods then might as well. If you've been calling shops that have an in-house Dyno and they are saying they don't do that work ...

Re: No heat in the cabin.

Do you have a picture of this part? I'm not seeing it on the diagram for the 06's so maybe it's a later component. I'm just interested for my own edification. I don't have any solution for your aftermarket part number request.

Re: Another V8 Brake Upgrade Complete

They definitely feel stronger now that it's all bedded in well. The AK's are claimed no bed in needed but I still had to bed the rear PowerStops per manu's instructions. We'll see what the longevity is like.

Another V8 Brake Upgrade Complete

***updated with lower price. I didn’t realize RockAuto charged tax on the core so I got a larger refund*** Finally got around to upgrading my brakes to V8 fronts. Tired of roaching them out or them warping. 98k miles, longest I've ever had any work on this rig were for about 35k miles and those were...

Ran out of Bandwidth?

I take it we ran out of bandwidth or some similar type of issue in Sept? I noticed no posts later than Sep 22 and I wasn't able to log in around the 26th until today. Although I could reset my password. Went so far as to try to create a new account thinking it was me but even that failed. Seems like...
