Would replacing the distributer,plugs & wires be linked to this in any way ??? it started just after replacing these parts .

I have a 98 pathfinder that just had the tranny rebuilt last week, it lasted 200 miles or less. Wifey called me about 3 hours ago & she's stranded on the side of the road about 35 miles from home, we've made arrangments to have it towed to the repair shop...again.
