No, I mean the actual knob that controls the fan speed. I can turn it down, but I can't turn it up.

Re: Aux input for radio?

Is there any way to hook up an auxiliary port for an MP3 player on a 2005 pathfinder? Bose or non-Bose? I think there's a Nissan adapter that'll take the place of the CD changer or satellite radio input. But the easiest and simplest way is to get an aftermarket radio. Get USB inputs and Bluetooth a...

Did they use an OEM radiator of aftermarket? The OEM is supposed to be an updated part that won't fail and an aftermarket likely never had that problem in the first place. I didn't by-pass mine after I replaced the radiator and I wouldn't in your situation either. It would be 5 years before a probl...

Heat/AC fan controls

Fan knob on my 2005 Pathfinder will turn the fan down, but it wont speed the fan up. Is there any way to fix this, or do I need a new control?

Rebuilt Transmission, now what?

My 2005 Pathfinder is in the shop right now getting a rebuilt transmission and new radiator installed.

Is the radiator bypass necessary now?

Have you gone to a reputable transmission shop? I haven't had to myself, but if a tranny rebuild was more than $2 - 2.5k, I would be shocked. I have received estimates from six different transmission shops where I live. Three of them deal mainly in transmission work. None of them were lower than $4...

I tend to be somewhat negative about my cars, so take my comment with a grain of salt. I probably wouldn't buy my Pathfinder again for the main reason that it's more of a truck than an SUV . When you compare it to similar manufacturers, the Pathfinder is rough, unrefined, technologically lacking, n...

My 2005 Pathfinder is DEAD.

My transmission is officially ruined. With only 114,000 miles on it. The dealer I bought it from replaced the radiator when I bought it (It had 104,000 miles on it) but did not flush the coolant and transmission fluid like they were supposed to. I am now in the process of turning a lawsuit against t...

So. With that out of the way, does it ever lower to a lower region of the gauge, as in when at idle?
No, it never does. It goes from off to full "High" upon start.

And you are correct, it is an 05'.

Belt or tesioner Question?

2005 Pathfinder. I start it up in the mornings, and it has a "sound" coming from the engine bay. It doesn't really sound like a common belt "squeal", but I could be wrong. The sound also gets quieter after the truck warms up for a while. Could it be the tensioner? Would it be bes...

Oil pressure gauge question

I am pretty sure, from reading posts here thst I have a faulty "Oil Pressure Sending unit", because my Oil Pressure Gauge is pegged out at the "High" end. Does that sound correct? My question is, if I have some sort of Oil Pressure failure, will an "Oil" light or "...
