Not trying to take away from anybody else's experiences, but I'm not a believer in additives and have no intention of ever adding them to my oil, unless I really found one that was backed with good data. I just don't think some magic fluid will solve all my problems. However, in this circumstance I ...

Bump. Bought an 06 that has this problem. If the engine's been shut down for more than and hour or so, it ticks for about 2 seconds on startup. Tried different oil filters and even put a higher viscosity oil in it for a little bit with no luck. Nothing seems to solve this problem. Anybody have any r...

Yeah, with a little research, I guess 1/8" is pretty standard on most hitches and drives a lot of people crazy. I've seen a few devices out there that are supposed to eliminate this slop, but don't really have to time to order one before my trip. I'm guessing my friends Ranger had a special loc...

excessive play in trailer hitch

Ok, I've been asking a lot of elementary questions lately, but whats the deal with the receivers on these vehicles. I'm planning a camping trip and just bought an 06 pathy to pull my camper. I went and got a Reese hitch today and and it fits way too loose in my opinion. I've got a solid 1/8" pl...

Cool that helps. I might try out O/D if I'm on flat stretch of interstate.

From what I understand as long as I'm locked, and not hunting gears, there should be no harm in leaving it in O/D in case I want to experiment with it?

towing camper, O/D on or off?

Did some searching and couldn't really come up with a general concensus. Nothing in the owners manual regarding towing and o/d, so I wanted to get others thoughts. Just bought an 06 pathy and I'm about to take it on its first camping trip. Will have about 2,500 pounds worth of trailer and another 50...

I'm usually a fan of leaving all my vehicles completley stock, but that is just plain sick!! I could really use a setup like that for what I do.

In the past I've always looked forward to my vehicles warranties expiring so I can take it to the other local shops. Pretty sad when I'd rather pay for something than have a dealer touch it. Finding a reputable repair shop is gold, but I think in this circumstance I'm going to have the dealer do the...

Well, checked with the dealership that she claimed did the flush, they pulled it up as having done it in January, but they said the only fluid they ever use for ATF's in any Nissan is red. They denied any chance of mis-servicing it and basically claimed that she must've had it serviced elsewhere aga...

Good news is my buddy's put 3,000 miles on his already with what appears to be the same stuff in it and says its still shifting normally so far. He's parked his for now as well till we find out what the deal is. Is there any chance that Nissan has approved some sort of synthetic fluid that isn't red...

Haven't found any answers yet, but the previous owner said the nissan dealer flushed the transmission her last servicing right before she put it up for sale. I'm still missing that service record, but she claims she has it and is going to bring it to me. A friend of mine just bought a 2008 pathfinde...

Help, just bought 06, clear/amber ATF fluid? WTH?

Ok, first off, I'm new to the forum because I just bought an 06 pathfinder LE used with 82,000. Vehicle looks perfect and service records with vehicle already showed fuel sensor and timing chain and tensioner changed. I had researched this before buying the vehicle, so I planned on doing the radiato...

Hello from south MS. Just sealed the deal on an 06 pathfinder LE and after doing some research, I realized I may need to do some work to this thing asap to avoid some tranny problems.
