Did you have them wired to come on with high beams? That's what I did to make it alot more convenient. I should have mounted my switch somewhere away from everything as well since I never switch them off. I used one of the blanks on the left side of the dash. if you overspray - a claybar will get it off with no sweat. Basically plasti-dipped everything that was chrome on the car - super easy and if you don't like it, it'll peel right off (just finished plati-dipping the bull bar I just installed so everything is flat black - the bull bar was gloss black)...
