Were you guys able to fix this? This may be a stupid question, but are you leaking coolant? Keep an eye on your coolant level. I had this same exact problem and added coolant and my heat at idle came back. Then I noticed I had a slow leak coming from the coolant lines just inside the right rear tire...

Nice. How close to the crossbar were you behind that HU? When I installed my JVC and plugged in the Sirius cable, I was right on it and had to modify the connector housing to get the HU screws to go down all the way. I'm looking into replacing the JVC with something else and add a back up cam too. A...

ha, yeah, that would have been easier. I took the long route. It should be ok to leave it like this though, right? ... other than the fact that I now have and extra connection to potentially leak... or is it necessary to form the loop on the radiator? Thanks

Check my bypass

After reading through Doctahjones' post, I finally got around to doing my bypass. It was pretty easy as everyone else has said. I did manage to shear 3 rusted bolts getting my skid plate and lower bumper part off :( Check it out and see what you think. Let me know if you see something that doesn't l...

Thanks for your help with this DanJetta. No flap closing sound or change in air flow intensity either. In other cars that I've had it's a pretty noticeable suction sound when that opens and closes. Is there a fairly easy way to get a closer look at this without ripping the dash totally apart? Maybe ...

No motor or door sound when I push the button. Where is the motor located so I can take a closer look/listen and replace if necessary? Is it fairly easy to get to?

cabin air circulation

Anybody know how to check or fix this? I still get outside air flowing into the cabin when I have my a/c cabin air circulation button on. I've driven by areas where they are paving the road or have had diesel trucks in front of me and it's like I have my windows open when I obviously don't. Maybe a ...

The tranny fluid is ok. I did find a leak at a connection right by my rear passenger tire- behind it a little along the frame. It looks as if someone tried to fix it before and did a shotty job. There is a hose connected to a coolant line connected with hose clamps. I bought it used with 92k miles a...

Thanks. That makes sense. Also, I do not have much if any heat coming out of my rear ceiling vents. I couldn't find any leaks in the engine bay, but I will check for leaks along the frame as you suggest.

Heating issues

I've read a few posts about air getting trapped in the coolant system- which I think I have and will try to purge this weekend. I do have a couple questions on this though. I was having the cool air at idle issue and noticed my reservoir tank was low, so I added about a quart of coolant and this hel...

Yeah that is a good question deermjd. I do have the old part EA # and not the the CA#. The dates for replacement were Radiator=4/30/09 and the Trans on 7/20/09. Maybe by then they were using the new part %?. I should prob do the bypass just to be safe though.

How long do I have after replaced?

Hello, I just picked up an 05 Pathfinder with 92k miles. After reading the reviews on Edmunds, I thought I should look into this some more. My carfax shows that the radiator was replaced at 54k and transmission replaced at 57k. Also had the timing chain/tensioner replaced at 46k. I'm glad I picked u...
