Bleeding rear brakes

I have a 1996 Pathy SE. Brakes are soft so I went to bleed them, figuring that would be a good place to start, starting in the rear. I loosened the bleeder screw in the rear left, had a friend push the brake pedal when much to my amazement... nothing happened. The pedal was firm, nothing coming out ...

Nope. It's not a self-adjusting tensioner. Timing belts stretch very little and shouldn't develop enough slack to be a problem between recommended replacement intervals. There are some engines that do have a self adjusting tensioner, like the Z32 V6 or some Toyotas, but not all. Ahhhh. That's what ...

Re: How about for a 99.5 Pathfinder?

I fill my pathfinder with high octane fuel from Shell and I get about 5-6 km per liter or 360km for the tank. Question about timing belt tensioner

I just got done with the timing belt/water pump/etc... 100K maintenance on my 96 Pathy. I have a question about the timing belt tensioner. It looks like the spring on the back of it is just used to do the initial tension, then it's held in place by the bolt that you put on it, which locks it in plac...

Thanks for the reply. I took your advice and just left it in there. On start up there was a problem, but I later figured out it was unrelated and I was able to fix the issue, but it sure had me on edge! After a day of driving around town i can report no problems. Oil pressure is good to go! Thanks a...

Part of left cam seal is now inside the head!

Ok, lets get this right out of the way first... Yeah. oops. Ok, let's move on. The coolant bypass hose failed in my 1996 Pathy (122K miles) last week and steamed up a storm while coming home. In reading this forum, I see that this is a known issue and elected to take your advice and replace t...
