I'm getting a buzzing sound from underneath in the rear when the engine is running. I can only imagine that this is the fuel pump warning me of impending death.
Could be. If I could convert to remove the motor I totally would.
The problem with lots of features is that there's lots to break. Ever ride in an older Jaguar? A ton of buttons and none of them do anything... because they're broken. That's kind of the direction my Pathfinder is going.
A guy at Courtesy gave me part number 90330-R51001. But when I look at the diagram, it says it's for 2005-2010 Pathfinders. '05-'07 Pathfinders don't have the actuator. I couldn't find it on their site, which is ueber-confusing, anyway. Is this the correct item? @ eieio: I talked to a Nissan tech wh...
Your cinch motor is more than likely defective. Excessive resistance building up in the failing motor could be your cause. I have replaced a BUNCH of these motors.
Bingo! it was a bad motor. The resistance when cold was blowing the fuse. And, as said, apparently a common fail item.
Correct, the computer usually stores codes until it's reset by a tool. I bought one from Sears for like $50. It's basic... reads codes and resets the computer--and was a fantastic investment. Just throwing this out there... It sounds kind of like you may be having fuel delivery issues. I'm thinking ...
How did you get the center console off? I'm getting ready to dig into mine and am afraid I'm going to break all of the clips (which is what usually happens for me).
I downloaded the manual but there are only 8 pages and the bookmarked links don't work.
I feel your pain. I dropped a car off at the dealership once so they could drive it first thing in the morning and they said, "Our tech drove it and found nothing wrong." When I got in, the odometer was on the EXACT same number as when I dropped it off. Not even a tenth of a mile was added...
That's interesting to read because I have an LE with the 18" rims and the ride is a nightmare. I've actually been thinking about switching to the 16" rims. The 18s handle like they're on rails (I can rip around an offramp at 50 MPH) but when I hit a lone pebble my butt flies about 4" ...
Mine is only when downshifting from 2nd to 1st, and it feels just like someone bumping me from behind. The thing that worries me is that my wife's Jetta started this last year and ended up needing a transmission valve body. Only thing is that with the Jetta it got worse as the fluid warmed up; the P...
Thanks a lot for the input, guys! Sounds like I'll be disassembling the car from the rear forward in the Spring! Ugh. I'm also wondering if the motor in that mechanism could be bad and the cold is creating enough resistance that it struggles enough to blow the fuse. You know how everything electric ...
There is a button under there where the latch would be. When you push it, you can hear a motor releasing the hatch lock mechanism... and then the hatch opens. To the right of that is a mechanical latch for the glass. On the interior side of the hatch, hidden behind a removable cover, is a mechanical...
Hey guys, My trannie shifts pretty rough when my Pathfinder is cold and I wanted to see if this is normal or if I should be worried. The roughness is primarily going in and out of first, like both transitions are delayed. When I slow to a stop, I can feel it shifting back into first and it feels alm...
Hey guys, So as it turns out, Pathfinders don't like cold weather. When the temp gets below freezing, all hell breaks loose with mine. One of those things is my rear hatch. Every time it gets below freezing, the rear hatch fuse blows and I can't understand why. I have to open the hatch window, reach...
