It's Been Fun

Want to say thanks to all here on "The Nissan Path" forum for all the help. I traded in my 2012 Silver Edition PF for a Chevy Tahoe as I needed a larger tow vehicle to pull a 31 foot travel trailer. So I will be leaving this forum, just hope I can find as nice a forum for the Tahoe as I fo...

Installing a kill switch is a good idea, something we use to do back in the 80's when I owned a car alarm company. As a side business we also repo cars for extra money. Does sounds a little two face, install alarms by day and repo cars by night. Anyway even back then and still today repo men u...

Same problem here with climate control system. Took the PF into the dealer and they said Nissan told them this is normal and there is no fix required.

Thanks for the feed back guys. Will go with two lines in place of the T-valve and wait and see if air or adjustable shocks are required.

Planning on getting a travel trailer soon, so adding Airlift 1000 to the 2012 PF is a must for me. Noticed that everyone is running two separate lines, one to each bag. Has anyone used a T-value? One air intake that splits off to each air bag? This is what I use to do on my 1993 Suburban using air s...

As stated above it's just a overflow hose. I did reroute mine so if it does have an overflow it will flow straight to the ground and not on the wiring it was laying on.

The climate control system in my 2012 PF started working the other day. I was pushing all the control buttons, when there was a loud click noise and then it started working. Not the way I would suggest having a problem fixed but until it goes out again, if it goes out again, I'll just have to live w...

Ok, thanks for the replies on better after market spark plugs. I ran after market plugs and wires in my four Chevy's (1988, 1990, 1993 1500's & 1992 2500 van) Split Fire plugs and wires and notice a difference in performance in those trucks. I also installed a performance chip with a cooler runn...

is that the Pathfinder would do better, engines have come a long way since '93. A 1993 Suburban with the 5.7 had 210 hp and 300 ft-lbs torque, the R51's have 270 hp and 291 ft-lbs torque, 60 more hp and 9 fewer lbs foot of torque and the pathfinder weighs 1400lbs less. Well, all sounds good on pape...

Again, nice write up, thanks. Wondering, are there any better spark plugs on the market or just stick with the factory plugs?

Re: towing mirrors

I found these though they are very pricy http://www.clearviewmirrors.com.au/10081/VEHICLE_MODELS/Nissan/Navara_D4_550_Pathfinder/ there is an installation video also Bit on the high price side and not something I would want to leave on the PF full time. Mostly I just don't like the high price, thou...

If you take your time, I don't think you will have an issue. But don't expect to win any races. And WDH is a must. How fast do you go up a 3% and 6% grade hill? Back in 1993 pulling a 4800 pound dry weight 30 foot travel trailer with a 1993 Chevy Suburban I could only go about 45 to 50 MPH and only...
