Re: Need to make a choice on Highway /All Season Tires

Correction on my original post. I meant to say AT's not TA's as in Goodrich, but in general as all terrain tires. I have searched the threads and a lot of you buy the TA's. I can't justify them as 99.8% of the miles are on pavement. A good handling street tire with great wet, snow, performance is wh...

Need to make a choice on Highway /All Season Tires

Hey Guys, I have 50k on my oem long trails and they are done. Seeing we are getting a good share of snow this winter here in Ohio, I would like to get a set as good or better replacement for the PF. I have searched the threads and a lot of you buy the TA's. I can't justify them as 99.8% of the miles...

Oh.... I guess to answer your question though, I will use Nissan pads and rotors when it comes time to replace. I tow with my PF as well and they are holding up great.

I just put two rotors on my girlfriends G35 and used Nissan they are solid performers IMO.

I'm at 42k and the pads look good. I took the rotors off and had them turned at a friends shop. I was getting a slight vibration in the steering wheel. He said they were a little off and after I put them back on it's perfect no more vibration. You might just want to get them turned they have a lot o...

I did the tranny change this weekend and mine took exactly 4. I bought 5 just in case, but even a day later and some miles the level is right on.

I know I saw it somewhere, thought it was the shop manual.

Lubribating the Propeller Shaft?

It says in the shop manual that the propeller shaft / drive shaft should be lubricated every so many miles or after submersion in water?

Has anyone done their yet and what exactly do you lubricate? What do you use for lubricant?

I couldn't find anything in the manual.

Thanks

Error Code Evap. Emission Code

Hey Ride - let me know what happens to you. Check my most recent discussion in here - I have P0455 and 463 showing on my car. Hopefully my dealer helps me out. I see you are in NE Ohio - you wouldn't by chance be getting your car serviced at the dealer in Streetsboro, would you? It would be kinda f...

There is a new Nissan service bulletin on the Evap system which was added a few days ago; . Thanks for the information, I'm gonna get underneath tonight and take a quick look. Maybe swing by the dealer tomorrow to talk to them about it. I would think this should be covered except for what you said ...

Error Code Evap. Emission Code

Hey all, I got the evap code on my 06 PF and before looking here I bought a gas cap at the dealer not realizing that there are problems with the evap canister and valve. Has anyone else dealt with this, and were you able to fix it yourself? I was talking to a buddy yesterday and he informed me that ...

Air bag function is covered in the owners manual page 1-43 through to 1-59; http://www.thenissanpath.com/filelib/R51/Owners/2006-Nissan-Pathfinder.pdf On page 1-53 it's written that if a malfunction occurs the airbag light will blink and to have it checked by Nissan. On 1-52 is the explanation of w...

06 PF Air Bag Light Blinking

Last week, my good friends wife backed into my PF coming out of their garage, the vehicles were so close that she did not do any damage to my PF. Anyway so 2 weeks go by and then last night when I got in to go somewhere the air bag light started blinking. Now I have to think that if this was somethi...

Does anyone undercoat/Oil Spray their Pathfinder?

Just wondering if anyone has had their Pathfinder undercoated and if they are content with it? Here in NE-Ohio they put salt and calcium chloride down in the winter. This stuff just eats things up. I was looking under mine this weekend and have seen the toll it's taking in the way of chips on the fr...

Re: MPG Increased somewhere around 20k

Just a note: I just noticed that my 06PF mileage increased from an average of 17-18mpg to 19-21mpg somewhere around 20k. Same driving habits, same octane fuel..., I started using K&N filters and Mobil1 back at 9500mi so don't really think it was influencing the increase? I suppose the drive tra...
