Greybrick, sorry I can not answer your question, but my Pontiac G6 is the same way. The MAF is at least a foot and a half from the manifold. I guess it really doesn't matter though. Once the air gets to a certain point it has to go to the engine.

Just out of curiosity, are we talking completly canceling the Pathfinder, or converting it to a crossover? The only reason I ask is because Nissan already has the Murano as a midsize crossover. It seems like it would be easier to enginer that a little bigger to get the small third row in there ...

That is what a lot of cars do now, retard the engine so that you get the same performance after the upgrades as before. The Titans had the same issue, people would put on an intake and exhaust, and have only marginally better performance. Not enough to write home about anyway.

We have yet to use the 2nd row storage for anything, but in my old Titan I kept my jumper cables, flashlight, and a few tools in the underseat storage it had. Yeah, its more like a more advanced warning light than anything else. That said, if you are trying to keep a certain pressure in all your tires due to road conditions or whatever, then this system is definitely better than just a warning light like my other car has.
