Update
It wasn't the 'fan clutch' afterall. Turns out, and i'm embarassed to say, it was that my coolant was about 3quarts low. (Even the auto shop missed that one). But yeah, evidently when the engine gets too hot it has a cut-off feature. Once i added the coolant - it ran normally. unfortunately, i had a...

Engine cut-off with Hot Temp.
My 99 PF started stuttering, while driving, after getting warm/hot, and while accelerating at around 2,000 rpm. Hi, My PF threatens to shutdown (stutters) after warmed-up/hot, and accelerating. Mechanic says it cause the Temp. gauge pegged and the 'engine cutoff' mechanism. Does it stutter all the time or only when warm/hot?
