Hey nismopath, I used a marine fuse block to add a detector. It does not turn off with the car, so you have to remember to shut it off, but it is double fused (one fuse off the battery on the hub, the second fuse from the hub to the detector) to better protect my valentine. It was not a hard install...

When i called nissan they said they would have to have it happen while they were driving to diagnose it propperly. I got a recording of the tachometer while its doing i...

Transmission Problems "clunking" at highway speeds

Hey guys, This is an odd problem I recently encountered its done this in 3 seperate occasions only within the last 2 months. I was driving home from work on the highway doing 77mph @ 3,500rpm, pushing lightly on the gas on a slight uphill slope and i suddenly felt a hard thud, it felt and sounded li...

Hood issues

Hey guys, my hood is doing a couple of things I am finding annoying: At speed the hood bobs up and down. I have looked in the hood and there are no rubber stoppers to adjust to put pressure on the hood. Also, now when I pull my hood with the latch under the steering column, i have to hit my hood wit...

I ran the roof wiring down the rack bars that go down the length of the vehicle on the passenger side. There is a small gap in the liftgate that will allow you to snake some wires past the rubber foam seal and into the interior ceiling. I will snap some pics in the morning. The ones in my headlights...

Get a relay, one that can handle 30 amps or so. I used a 4 pin relay, power in, switch, acc, gnd. Wire your power to a 12v source, battery for example, wire fog light gnd and gnd on relay out to body. Wire switch to running lights with a wire tap and acc to fog lights pos. Only problem with this is ...

You can also hit your rads with some home hvac radiator foaming cleaner and let it sit for 5 to 10 min (the outside of the rads) brush very carefully with a wire brush and power wash the rads to get the gunk out of the fins. Instantly my ac performed better and my engine temp leveled out. Also ditto...

I took my pathy to a small muffler shop and told the guy about my codes and how it sounded like tincans rattling under the car not to mention the deeper resonance when i accelerated. I was also popping codes for lean fuel to oxygen ratio and bank 2 o2 sensor. When he lifted it i went under the car w...

I ran my roof lights down the rack beams and into the liftgate. The gap between the liftgate and the weather rubber seal allows for some wires to go into the roof liner. Just fish them through the roof liner by pulling the door seals out a little bit and run it down your a pillar to the firewall. Re...
