So, the EA265 numbered radiator is a problem radiator as well? Well, I will be replacing mine with an aftermarket Spectra radiator. I need to have that Oil to Water Trans Cooler come summer.

Hm, that is very strange. Did you check all the pullies and what they are connected to on the serpentine belt?

That's very interesting, what else do you turn off by holding down the VDC switch?

If I remember correctly, the VDC system is separate from the ABS system. You can turn the VDC off, but the ABS system will still do an auto check and function like normal; which would mean that there would still be that grinding sound. Honestly, I think it's normal at this point. I notice when I jus...

I am positive smj is very right here. I was doing a hill climb earlier today and was getting that sound from the front left tire when ever I started slipping.

Well, I figured I'd offer my 2 cents just incase it was related. I've driven in snow a grand total of once in my life and that was in a different car. The closest thing I have to relate that to is offroading so my first thought was to when I had a similar problem. Maybe it is just normal operation. ...

Check the axle on that side, specifically the boot where the axle enters the hub in the wheel. I have had boots break/leak before and ruined the ball joint there and it sounds like a grinding gear. Not sure if that is the issue, but it may be. One specific problem I had was a loud clicking sound whe...

Just wanted to give one more cheer for the Airlift suspension. Took me about 40 minutes to install them both, only had to raise the rear about an inch to widen the coil gaps a tad. I run them at 25 psi and am loving it. Makes a world of difference in the handling, how the car feels on bumpy roads, a...

Well, she's not much, especially compared to the above entry, but here's my old QX4 that I sold. 2" Lift, Bilstien suspension 32" Maxxis Bighorns on 16x8 V-Tec Raptor rims. (Still got the tires and rims to run on my R51  ) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8212/8418740098_3103df7d45_c.jp...

Easy peasy, I just finished putting in a couple of airbags in the rear coils and I'll do a road test by running over to walmart and picking up some heat shrinks. The only Performance Chip I would run would be something like a BullyDog Tuner, but that's farther down the road.

I meant to reply yesterday, but I ended up passing out really early in the day. I saw their website and like you mentioned smj, there were no instructions that I could find. I tried to look up the wiring in the service manual here on the site, but I couldn't find it. I did find this link, but I coul...

Bump. Looking for some advice in this still. I don't want to just rip it out without a replacement. Any good suggestions on a replacement chip or on the next step?

Hm, then it probably won't like getting commands that a Titan transmission would get. Well, it was worth a shot, but I don't feel like taking that kind of risk.

Digging up an old thread here as food for thought on a future project. Has anybody come up with anything new on this subject? I'm thinking that I might be able to switch out the Unified Meter Control Unit with one from an Armada or Titan. If that works, then it should give me a viable tow mode and w...
