my frontier had a small piece of clearbra applied in that area from the factory. it has helped, but removing it and having a larger patch applied would have helped a lot more.
Looking good here, but I expect that if I hadn't put clearbra on the front end, my bumper would be all chewed up by now. I've got quite a few rock chips on the leading edge of my rear fender that require touch-up, but its not chipping/cracking in those areas.
