oh, and i have a frontier buddy that's down too. he has the nismo offroad pacakge that apparently also has a factory locking rear diff in 4lo. There are a few others on here from DFW area that I think would be down too. Maybe we'll start our own Lone Star Nissan Club and do our own adventure ...

The size that doctahjones has on his (and a few others on this forum have as well) is a 33" x 11" tire.
They're big, but they fit!
Took a long road trip for the holiday packed full of the family's stuff.
And somewhere along the way, they settled down.
The rear is actually now a bit lower then the front.
(Which will be fixed when i get rid of the spacer and put in adjustable shocks)
I'm definately not a hardcore off roader, but I've started to use the manual shift modes (in a previous truck as well) to help me from getting stuck. Here are a few things that have worked for me in the past:
1. Semi-Deep Mud: 4 Lo - 2nd Gear (just learned about this one)
I heard recently that when traversing some serious mud, one should use 4 lo and keep it in 2nd gear.
That got me thinking that maybe some of the more hardcore off-road guys on here might be able to give some advice to the noobs about what gears to use and when.
