alright it's done...took me more time than expected...I had to remove the whole engine skid plate to access the oil filter since that one was a pita to remove..they really cranked it hard at the factory... !!...that took me quite some time since the adapter tool for the oil filter kept slipping..I e...

yeah I was surprised to find out that ..they have different numbers but they are the same..the oil filter access does not look great though on the V8 PF.I'll probably do my oil change on turkey day

got some Valvoline 5w-30 and Nissan oil filter/oil drain plug washer. I'm good to go for thanksgiving

fyi same oil filter for xterra/frontier/armada/titan/pathfinder..ie V6 (VQ40) and V8 model (VK56)

looks like it's a different oil filter for the V6 and V8 models.

dang they all start with 15208-xxxx

no skid plates yet ( but I'm planning on getting the shrockworks ones later on)

I guess because they offer it for free since I bought the car at their dealership...

anyways, I found the info: for the V8: 6 1/2QT of 5W-30 + new oil filter.

I'll get the oil at Costco

Mobil 1 should be fine.
I'll just get the correct Nissan oil filter at my local dealership.

alright the V8 Pathfinder has now 3500 miles. Should I wait a little longer for the 1st oil change ? dealership told me to bring it in at 5,000. But I might do my own oil change. Anyone has the specs/info for the V8 PF oil change ? ( filter ref, how many QTs of oil and which grade ?) thanks... V8Pathy
