allisojh, Budr is the only one I've heard of having issues, whereas I have heard literally dozens of people on this website alone, not to mention ClubFrontier, x.nissan, etc, etc, complain about contaminated trans fluid. Also keep in mind that Budr also installed his tranny temp gauge at the same t...

It was proven that the trans was crapped already so the extended warranty covered it (non-nissan, bought from used car dealer). Not sure the actual price or where it came from....had to pay $100 deductible

Mine has been bypassed for about 10,000 miles. I cant say I havent had problems because I have a remanu transmission in now for the past 2,000 miles. Take it from me....make sure your newly routed hoses have no sharp turns or bends. One of mine split and I lost all my fluid on the highway. Had it to...

I like that idea 05Path.....easy to remove when not needed. I volunteer for animal rescue and transport dogs on several occasions. I've considered removing the 3rd row seat (which I never use) and all the storage stuff down to the bare floor and Rhino lining it. That way it would be easy to clean an...

Did the brakes and rotors today in a little more than an hour. The torque member bolts werent too bad....of course I had an impact wrench too. Plus Im sure the brakes have been changed before, so who knows what they were really torqued to. I had a good amount of meat left on the pads......probably a...

Looks like its 32 ft lbs for the sliding pin bolt and 136 ft lbs for the big honking ones. I used to do brakes and stuff and just tighten up, but after being properly educated I have become way more particular about my vehicle. Thanks for the help everyone

Front Caliper Torque

Ive had all I can stand of my warped rotors and front end pull while braking, so Im gonna be replacing the front rotors and pads in the next couple days. Am I reading the service manual correctly that the sliding pin bolts are to be torqued to 44 ft lbs and the torque member bolts to 185 ft lbs? If ...

I purchased one of the most expensive sets of Silverstars, cant remember the name but they arent cool blue. And honestly I cant tell a difference. I think full headlight replacement is the only option and Im just not gonna spend that kind of money myself. Let me know if you go with cool blue and the...

Got bored and mounted it tonight. $17.99 A-B-C Extinguisher from Walmart. I just used zip ties to mount it thru the louvers in the plastic wall. This way no drilling and if I ever trade vehicles I can just cut the ties and take it right out. Its solid enough to hold it still and keep it all from rat...
