Sounds like the transmission for sure. How many miles since your last fluid change? (before this one). It sounds like low fluid....are you 100% sure its full? I would rule out anything with the fuel filter unless the engine itself is losing power. Dont want to alarm you, but that sounds exactly like...

I bought a set of Anzo projectors, they're in the mail and will outfit the lowbeam with HID's and the high beam with silverstars or a set of cheap 6000K bulb. not too worried about high beams cause I won't use them much and the DRL at half volt I've found on my old car to severely kill the lifetime...

I really dont know what I mean by that. Probably just different cause I havent driven it in a month or so. At first it seemed all the gears were really close together. It seems to be getting better though. Its not slipping or anything. Its a remanufactured one.....regardless its warranted

I fixed this on mine a couple weeks ago. Its very easy (about a 2 on a scale of 1-10). Remove the RF wheel and fender well. Pull off the drain tube. Cut a short piece of 1/2 tubing to slip over the existing one. Put it all back together. Literally less than 30 min fix.

They are gonna backflush it. The warranty will not pay for a new cooler. They said its still warranted so hey if it goes out again then oh well, they have to pay for another one.

Nissan makes a Transmission Cooler Flush. (Nissan part # 999MP-AM006P) I would run it through all the trans lines and the trans cooler in the reverse direction of flow. I think you'd be able to see how the flow is and if it's coming out clean. this may not be an option as his truck is at a repair s...

i would want to be absolutely sure that any & all debris is out of the system before even starting the engine considering the overall cost of this repair, it seems like the warranty company would be inclined to make sure a complete & thorough repair is done if they are not replacing the coo...

Re: Factory Trans Cooler....Flush or Replace?

So now that the warranty folks have finally decided to pay for the new transmission, a thought has come to my mind about the cooler. When the 4th gear clutches burned out, obviously it filled the fluid with all kinds of clutch material. Im concerned that this material is also all in the factory coo...

Well after a week of nothing, the warranty people sent an adjuster to the shop to drive my truck and take pictures (not sure of what). And today they decided to pay for a new transmission! I have to admit I am quite surprised! The warranty company is called Master Tech and after doing research, I wa...

I've been following this pretty closely since I just bought an '05 PF in May. I did the bypass for piece of mind but have seen the XTerra forum post about the very tangible affect the radiator has on the fluid temps. I find it interesting though no one has mentioned that according to the manual, th...

This link on thenewx.org has documentation showing that the trans radiator cooler does in fact add a good degree of cooling to the system. http://www.thenewx.org/forum/showthread.php?t=30287 Have any Pathfinders after the 2006 or 2007 model been affected yet? It happens at 60,000+ miles so Im guess...
