Definitely a suspension lift. Since you want 2" of lift, it narrows it down. The one thing I don't know about, but also would not recommend, would be spacers/combination of spacers & springs. The only two true suspension options, at least available Stateside, would be OME or Dobinsons. I st...

Re: Audio interference

Hi, I have an audio issue and has to be with interference, the problem is that when the engine start a buzzing sound start coming from the speakers, and the sound change depending of the engine RPM, any suggestions? Thanks. Pathfinder 2008 se Is everything stock, or has something been upgraded with...

I ended up ordering new struts and shocks only, no coils. I did a fairly close inspection of my coils and they look fine, aside from the obvious rust, wear & tear. The Dosinsons coil for the rear is identical to that from OME, so that isn't a problem. But, the coil options for the front have hig...

The Amazon link listed above is for those with extra weight on the front (winch, bumper, etc.). Here are a few more details on the springs & compared to OME springs: Front coil: OME607, 370mm free height, 480lb rate Dobinsons C45-254, 385mm free height, 541lb rate Dobinsons C45-252, 365mm free h...

My OME setup is getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm contemplating having it all replaced with the Dobinsons springs & shocks. Their lift is 40-45mm which, if I remember correctly, is a bit less than the OME. I'm still compiling a list of parts, but here are the main items so far: C45-254, front...

My only issue with the 4runner (and the same goes for the Taco) is the lousy, uncomfortable seats and seating position. For short trips it isn't too bad, but it's terrible on long trips. Well, make that two issues... The new ones are also butt ugly, IMO! I haven't been in the seats of a current gen...

Well, for those that can afford it, there is still the Armada...if you can deal with something that big and 12-13 mpg. That's what the salesman told me right after I told him I had no interest in any of their vehicles as nothing can replace the X or PF. The Armada is okay, especially now that it is...

It looks like the ones I'm looking at are LT rated C Load. I do a majority of highway driving, but I like the look of an aggressive tire so perhaps based on your input the LT is the way to go? I don't really do heavy offroading but I do enjoy taking the back road to work (45min) and it is pretty wa...

Poor Nissan and their lack of 4x4 vehicles

I've been contacted multiple times throughout ownership of a 2007 Pathfinder and 2011 Xterra from dealerships looking to buy, obviously to get me into a new car. Ever since the death of the Xterra and Pathfinder, those contacts have increased. The last 3 months I have been bombarded with snail mail,...

Still searching around though.. what's the difference between P rated and LT E-Rated? I searched DiscountTire and they didn't offer a choice between the two? P rated almost always come with some kind of treadwear warranty, whereas few of the LT tires do. P are more suited to pavement, although I ha...

I still haven't had to touch it up or add further coats, so I'd say pretty well. The black color has faded a tiny bit, but so has every other black plastic on the exterior.

Re: Roof rust!

Ok so this seems to be fairly common on R51 Pathfinder's and Nissan Frontiers rust in the two rain (gutters) on either side of the roof! I was looking at my 2012 today and wow there it was rust in the gutters! Anyway what's the best to use here some factory paint or paint the gutters with bed liner...

Anyway, as for bookings and advice on Botswana, no one better that Tara Fory from Botswana Footprints. You talking about campsites like this? This one is Khumaga just south of the Delta. These are from Tsaa in the Delta. It is currently closed, but will be open in the next few months. It is my abso...
