You may want to check the 2 hinges holding the hatch in place. A few years ago, I found one of mine had become pretty loose. The hinge design is pretty bad-you'll see what I mean if you try to tighten/loosen either one.

Much like the Land Rover Discovery, I love the design of the Unlimited. But, I would never buy either one. Every noise outside can be heard inside. The ride is not plush by any means, especially around town. Every time I ride in one, I always think my teeth will be rattled out of their sockets. I'd ...

Okay, so after rereading everything, a question: you are looking at the Nav display which is showing current mileage/fuel consumption, correct? If so, that number can't be relied on for anything, especially if you aren't maintaining a constant speed. It's just a snapshot of that specific moment in t...

Thanks for the reply. Where do I find out the calibrated tire size for my 2005 LE? If you have the original 2005 brochure, it will list all the models and tire sizes available. You might be able to find one via Google as well. If that year is similar to 2007, then the largest tire size listed would...

The problem with the Nav readings is that they are based on one tire size, and that is obviously not the same tire size you are running. To give you a better idea, the calibrated tire size for the 2007 models is 265/75/16. That means that everyone running a tire smaller than the 265/75/16 will be se...

Re: Hello all..HIDS. ..are they worth it..?

So every other wknd I drive approx 250 km each way on a very dark hwy and not impressed with my original headlights on my 2005 SE. I am considering getting an HID kit..but wonder if it's really a difference worth the money. My lenses are crystal clear as well. any opinions would be helpful.. You ha...

Re: Home Made Rock Slider Fabrication

I can't wait until some ass hat opens their door into my truck and dings their door on the sliders. I've had a few people bang into mine. Fine with me, since they are the ones with the damage. Sliders look great! I'm curious to see the frame brackets you come up with. You aren't going to use the st...

I'd stay OEM as well. I had to replace a portion of my ducting-the foam surround at the wheel well had fallen apart. I was eyeing the Volant for quite some time, but I was never able to find any definitive proof of any gains made by using it.

I've toyed with the idea a number of times, but never did anything about it. Trust me, don't think of it as a sacrifice at all-the handful of people who have experienced my third row have absolutely nothing positive to say about the seats. Anyway, I still think it's a great idea to pull them out and...

I run the stock size 265/75/16 and drive all over the backroads here in Utah, along with CO, NV & CA. Even though I have a lift & am running stock sized tires, I can still get a bit of rubbing when one of the wheels is fully compressed in an off road situation. Because of that, I opted not t...

Handling. Car feels like its hopping from side to side everytime I hit a bump on the freeway. Proper alignment should fix that. You would think. It does help, but it won't completely get rid of the hopping. Once a year or so, the DOT goes around and fixes all the cracks/holes in the freeways. When ...

SQUEAKS AND RATTLES! Feels like everything is loose. All the interior plastics rattles so bad that every time I drive our 2001 grand cherokee, I feel like I'm driving a rolls royce, silent and almost no rattles at all. That older car feels like its built better. I feel lucky. I've had 3 noises: hoo...

+1 from a little ways to your east. I use it almost every day from May to about now and with the range on the remote you mention can clear out the worst of the superheated air for 30s before I even get to the vehicle. I actually love the heat. Most of my coworkers are of a particular body type that...
