Monroe quickstrut??

Hey guys. So finally sick and tired of the garbage rancho quicklift and decided to go back to factory height. Was thinking about the monroe quickstruts up front (and probably monroe shocks in the rear), but have read mixed things about the quickstruts giving 3/4"-1" of "lift" in ...

well...it was the key fob. the unlock button had finally gone on to that great junkyard in the sky. I had to replace the entire fob.

I had thought that might be the case, and they gave everything a once over and then the guy looked at the fob and said that it was most likely the culprit.

it's both front windows, so i'm not sure about the switch. my thought is actually the key fob maybe. perhaps the button is screwed up and it is getting stuck in the depressed position enough to roll them down. I called the dealership and they told me how to re-set them. I tried the method and it's s...

Windows Keep Rolling Down Automatically

Just what it says guys... My front windows keep rolling down automatically. I'm not touching anything, I don't have the keys in my pocket, etc. Doesn't matter if I lock with car with the door button or the key fob, within a couple minutes the front ones just roll down on their own. I was at the deal...

Yes they will fit but you will need to trim or melt the plastic.
Even with lift you will have too.

tires

I've been running 285-70-17 toyo open country at2 for the past few years. I believe they weigh 56lbs each. Anyway, I noticed about a 2mpg loss. Do yourself a favor and buy the XTP intake manifold spacer. That and the airlift bags are the 2 best purchases you can make for the R51. That spacer shifts ...

exhaust

The #12580 and chopping the Y-Pipe out is the best, cheap solution to free up the exhaust and change the sound. At idle, the sound isn't much different, but under throttle I find the sound to be exactly what I'm looking for in this vehicle. I left the stock rear tailpipe/resonator in place as well.

fob

Have you tried replacing the battery in the fob? Maybe the entire fob is faulty? Has it gotten wet or dropped or damaged at all?

spare

I have a 285-70-17 (which is roughly 32.8") under mine and that's probably as big as you could possibly go. You might be able to squeeze a true 33" tire under there, but that would definitely be the max

mods

Good list. The XTP spacer and Magnaflow 12580/Y pipe delete certainly make a difference. I'd love to delete the cats on mine, but NJ... Headers would be awesome, but with a baby at home, money for new toys isn't high on the priority list right now I definitely agree with you about the Xterra/Titan/F...

Re: intake

I read through the first 15 of the 26 pages and then jumped to the last couple. I would have loved if somebody had actually compared the stock v. modified vs. Volant air boxes on a dyno to get some actual proof of benefits of cutting the snorkel. There are a lot of "theories," but it seem...

intake

I stayed with my factory intake and just did the Titan airbox mod and threw in a K+N filter. Whenever I get around to it, I'm thinking of removing the current snorkel tube and replacing it with a larger diameter tube to hopefully allow more air in to the airbox than the current one does. I'm thinkin...

Update on the General grabber AT2. Well after only 200km I had to get them re-balanced , they just started to vibrate. Then after another 270kms they needed balanced again , getting a bit concerned with this outcome and you guessed it after just another 170kms re-balance needed. Well today I return...
