Good idea. There is probably some kind of warranty in the contract that says they will fix things within a certain amount of time. Don't delay.

Who did you buy it from, private seller or dealer? I would start there. It certainly sounds like something might have happened to it. I just checked mine and you may be able to remove the two screws and bend the hinge back a bit.

Wow! I'll bet if they replaced the R52 with the Terra in North America, their sales would skyrocket!

Agreed. Car and Driver recently ranked it # 17 out of 21 mid-sized Crossovers and SUVs that they rated. The nicest thing that they could say about it is that it's a "stellar minivan alternative".

It's well known that the paint finish on R52 Pathfinders is crap. Most people first see the bubbling of the paint on the hood. A review of the 2017 Warranty booklet looks like they'll only cover you if your corrosion is a rust-through. https://owners.nissanusa.com/content/techpub/common/2017/2017-ni...

The R52 is known to have electronics issues now and again. I use Energizer 2032 batteries in my fobs with no issues. A solution to many of the Pathy's electronic woes can be solved by disconnecting the negative battery cable in the engine compartment for 60 seconds and then reconnecting it securely....

I guess you never got to post # 82. It seemed to solve the problem for him.

If you have an Apple product phone, you can stream directly from the USB port in the console. If you're an Android user, you'll have to buy some sort of dongle that connects into the system, but won't be able to use the steering wheel controls. There was quite an extensive discussion about this over...
