Re: It has begun!! Titan VK56 swap in my '05!

And here I am with my trip computer telling me I'm averaging 14.7 mpg. :( Congrats man! Glad you're enjoying the VK56. Before I bought my 2011 this year. I kind of regretted not buy a 2008 V8 LE that had transmission problems. The seller had it listed for $2000 obo so I'm sure someone made it out li...

Re: To Regear or Not to Regear... This is my question

My brother has an FJ80 Land Cruiser that he's been building for a few years now. He went from factory stock to 37" tires with a 4" suspension lift. He finally had his LC re-geared last week to get the factory performance back and now it feels like he has a supercharger or turbocharger inst...

Re: Front Strut bottom bushing

I would get a hold of ARB or authorized dealer of OME to double check.

Re: Lift Question

I hope you don't require that much lift because I have a set of the same size tires sitting in the garage waiting to be put on once I get my coilovers. I'm just going with a 2" suspension lift and I'm ready to trim fenders and bumpers to make it fit  I would have actually gone 35"...

Re: Honest Nissan Mechanic in my area

Other than your stealerships, not a lot of mechanics specialize in the one make anymore. It normally comes down to one or a few particular models now that most specialty shops concentrate on now. The Frontier sold well so I wouldn't be surprised if all mechanics have at some point worked on a few, s...

Re: $500 3.69 Gear Upgrade

I've looked into this myself as I'll be in the same situation as you. I'll probably just go with a 3.36 ring & pinion set for front and rear though. Still haven't figured out if I want to go with ARB or something else. Filthy Motorsports has a cable driven locker that I'm interested in on their ...

Re: Honest Nissan Mechanic in my area

Yelp reviews has always been a great source to find a good mechanic. When you speak to the mechanic, talk to them a bit and gauge their knowledge. If the mechanic knows the Nissan Frontier/Pathy/Xterra or the VQ in general, they'll usually make a comment about the truck. A local shop I know made a c...

Re: R51 rear door rattle.

If it's the gate latch or the rear glass handle being loose letting the glass rattle while driving, just simple nuts and bolts. I dont' think you need to take any plastics off back there, everything should be straight forward to check for tightness.

Re: Coming Soon: Front Drop Bracket Kit install and Regearing

I have a rear set of PRG links that will be going into the rear and when I bought it, their site says: "These are replacement sway bar end links for guys running tall leveling kits or extended travel upper a-arms. These are 1/4" to 1" longer than stock to prevent the endlinks from rot...

Re: Spare tire installation

I took mine off recently to throw a new tire on it and it was face up which makes sense because you don't want the chain/mount scratching the face of the rim. I need to do that on my Frontier because my Frontier's spare is face down. I don't recall seeing any type of spacer under there though. If I'...

Re: I have to Start Driving To Get The Front Climate Control Blower To Come On...

Definitely electrical related. Maybe a bad joint/connection in a board or relay whereas driving it would heat up the connection enough to expand so the broken part touches and starts working? As for where to start, no idea, maybe check to make sure fuses are okay and pushed in all the way?

Re: 350z / 370z Limited Slip Into the Pathfinder

Funny, I always though Nissan went helical in their sports cars after the year 2000. I don't see why the 350z and 370z would have viscous when their little sister Silvia(S15) came with a helical lsd in Japan. I never bothered looking into the 350z and 370z til today. But to your question, you can ca...

When you do find one, let me know. I may look at replacing mines off a 2011 too. Are you showing us the current headlights on your Pathy don't line up? Your picture is kind of blurry.
