Thanks for sharing. THAT was awesome. Sometimes it's good to listen to other people's advices... And learn from their mistakes... Not sure if you have a 4x4 or not. If you do, you will want to change out the transfer case fluid as well. It is much like changing out the diffs...two plugs...drain...refill. See your manual for fluid type.

Off-Roading Trip That Went Horribly Wrong For One Guy

In April, my wife and I met some friends at General Sam's Off-Road Park just north of Huntville, Tx. It was a cool place and we were able to get the pathy into some mud. My friend brought a TRex that he had just picked up. It was a lot of fun. Saturday evening we were headed back to camp when we cam...

Yeah it would be the proper way to go, but I just dont wanna spend the money and endure the hassle. A local company quoted me $450 for all 4 wheels with a 2-3 day turn around. It would just be a lot of hassle considering I dont have another vehicle to drive. Yeah, that does make a difference. Good ...

Hey richard can you post some more pics with those wheels on. I've been wanting to see what the black Trenchs look like on a pathfinder, just can't find any pics on the net. You ever thought about getting some black lug nuts? Here's the pics I have so far, but they are not too good. I have not inst...

Re: Blacked out

Anybody have any pics of a black pathfinder with a blacked out grill? I like the looks of the way everyone is painting theirs, but I cant seem to find any pics on a black one. Would like to do the wheels but Im afraid it will scratch right off perimeter of the rim when I get tires changed. Another ...

I too am in the market for new tires. My wife puts a lot of highway miles on it, so I'm going to put some good road tires on the stock 17" rims and get some dedicated off-road tires for a set of 16" American Racing Trench style wheels that I have. I'm kinda leanin' towards Firestone Destin...

You too, huh? I just found it yesterday. We are going up to Colorado in a few weeks. We'll have to go to Shilo Ridge or somewhere else after we get back. When are you heading back Dallas way? I have not got new tires yet. Not sure what direction to take. Gotta figure that out this week. BTW, n...

Why were the spacers needed on the front? I know you said to clear the caliper, but don't some already use 16" wheels? Is it because of the backspacing of the wheels? I was just curious. Thanks.

BTW, that thing looked cool with those tires/wheels. :D

Hello From Texas

Hey there. We have a 2006 LE 4x4 and love it a lot. We have had it about a year and a half and it replaced a Subaru Forester. It has been a very good vehicle and I'm impressed with it so far. I've had a chance to get it off road a few times and have had it in some fairly deep mud (almost half way up...
