I've seen some sending units fail due to an internal "open" circuit for the fuel pump. Check for power getting to the sending unit for the fuel pump. If that's good, check the ground. With that, the fuel pump should run. If not, either the pump or the sender is bad. You'll have to pull the...

The cam position sensor (sometimes referred to as a crank angle sensor) is integral of the distributor, as you mentioned. You may very well need to replace the distributor, but without doing the tests described in the service manual to confirm a bad distributor, it's only a guess. Couple of things y...

Broken studs on the VG30E engine are a common problem, especially on the right bank. The engine does NOT have to be removed. The exhaust manifold nuts can be accessed from the passenger side wheel well. Unbolting the 3 flange bolts from the front pipe, removing the nuts and washers will allow you to...

The new radiators have been corrected so they "should not" have the same issue as the one that failed.

I just had one go on my 06. They seem to last about 5-7 years. Dorman Products makes them on the aftermarket and work just as good as OEM. If you search around, you can find them for $50 each and I believe they have a lifetime warranty.

I think the big issue would be the wiring; since heated steering wasn't available in 07, the vehicle would not be wired for it. You would also need the clockspring to be compatible. You would not only need the steering wheel, but the relay and the heated steering switch, as well.

Deleting post catalytic converters?

I see a number of posts where cat-back systems were installed to improve performance, but has anyone removed the two post-catalytic converters on the R51's and what were the results?

The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank, so I don't see how it could cause gas to leak all over the top of the fuel tank? The fuel sender unit is actually the part with the hose connections on it, so it would make sense that it would need a fuel sender...but not a pump.

Nissan trannies use a screen for a filter. You do not service them, like a filter on a GM or Ford product. Years ago when I took the auto tranny course at Nissan's Northeast Training Center, they said Nissan's thinking is that if you have enough debris in the fluid to clog the filter/screen, then yo...

Nissan doesn't specify a replacement interval for front or rear diff oil, only "inspect" at 15,000 mile intervals. this goes for the "normal" and severe duty schedules. Rear is synthetic; front is not specified as synthetic. I usually replace mine at 60,000 mile intervals, but I'...

I've used a set of Wagner front rotors on an 08 Pathy. Purchased front and rear sets of Akebono Ceramic brake pads from Rockauto.com. Brakes like it did brand new!

I think it looks like a nice vehicle...it just should be given it's own name because, IMO, it's not a true Pathfinder.
