has anyone found a larger filter that will fit on the R51? When i bought my first one back in March I was like "O Shit, this thing is tiny" the filter on my wife's old honda 4 cyl was bigger than the original size R51 filter and the filter on my 3.0 V6 is way larger. I would like to find ...

Most people always seem to hate on Fram in car forums. I've seen several comparisons and they generally took the cheapest Fram filter and compared it to more expensive filters. I would hope an $8 filter is better quality than a $4 filter by default regardless of brand. Personally I've never had a pr...

As I expected everybody has a different answer and none are necessarily wrong. To me a regular oil and filter change is such a cheap and easy way to keep your vehicle running strong but I'm happy to know that a few extra miles on Pathfinder oil shouldn't hurt. Somebody mentioned sending the oil off ...

For those going up to 7500 or 10K on full synthetic are you replacing the filter halfway?

Old thread bump. Are most people sticking around the 3750 oil change interval? We are getting the basic oil change package from the dealer for now so I'm sure they use bulk oil and Nissan filters.

Stick on hood scoops just look terrible on any vehicle but most auto parts stores sell them. Don't forget the fender vents while you are there :(

jasunderland at that rate it will pay for itself in just over a year assuming you drive 15K miles a year. To really be technical you can also subtract the cost of a replacement air filter yearly $25-50 depending on your replacement interval and filter choice. You will need to add $10-12 for cleaning...

I am very interested in what you think of the quality of the lights as there are many similar kits on ebay.

skinny2 You can always use clear laminx to protect from rock chips. The yellow looks good on some vehicles too.

That's a nice gain, I did a drop in K&N and average MPG went up .2 according to the trip computer. Like somebody else said those cone filters should be cleaned and oiled after every season for best results. The filter recharge kit is only about $10 and it will last for several years. If you buy ...

Basically any mechanic can do a brake job, and any reputable mechanic will install parts you carry in and only charge you shop fees and labor. At least this way you know for sure what is being put on your vehicle. Some small shops make a huge markup on parts and they may give you a hard time in whi...

The pathfinder was used for highway and city driving but I am constantly stuck in Boston traffic every morning and evening so I assume thats why the brakes wore so fast. Also I bought it pre-owned with 33k on it already so I have no clue how the other driver drove it. I already bit the bullet with ...

Wow $460 for front brakes and rotors seems really high but you did go to the dealer so you are paying extra for the Nissan parts and their operating and shop costs. 42K seems early on the rotors but maybe you are hard on your brakes and it was necessary. When it comes down to brakes its always best ...
