bolt pattern is 6x4.5 which limits your options greatly on wheel selection. i would think 20s or 22s would be fine, wheel size doesnt matter as much as tire size. good luck, keep us posted.

Thanks - i will look into that and see, i will try the leverage bar as well. The squeek is much more prevelant than the rattle at this point so i'd really like to solve that one at least...i am sure the rattle will get to me just as much though...although that rattle fits in with all the others i ha...

more of a metallic squeek like a pipe joint is moving and rubbing on itself, without getting too crazy i did check all the fittings and they were all very tight....sounds as though it resonates through the pipe and out the back which leads me to believe it is the system itself. another way to descri...

blink- i think i have the answer to your damper Q. with the 05's we did not have the second large muffler/resonator near the tip (as i have seen in your pictures of your stock system. The 05's had a small in-line resonator and a 'damper' that was attached near the tip to control vibration etc... I h...

the backroad mountain roads were approx 50-60mph...the turnpike was cruise control at about 72mph. i have found that about 50-55 gets me my best mileage, but on the turnpike that isnt realistic.

Forgot to mention Mileage. I had reset my MPG computer for the first time in over a year (the last year's average mpg was 14.2) And i traveled about 160 miles on my trip. about 60 miles of back mountain roads and 100 on the pa turnpike. upon arrival at my destination, my MPG computer read 19.9 mpg.....

Maybe a little less than an inch, however it is not lower than the skid plates (OR model) in fairness, the tailpipe is more prone to damage than stock because it comes straight out the back and not slanted down, the stock tailpipe was tucked up under pretty good. it was cold and rainy here, so i hav...

Yeah the gibson comes with a new Y-pipe (much needed) it is a full 2 1/2" system the whole way back, all mandrel bent, no terrible kinks like the stock system, gibson muffler is LONG...i think that helps keep the low mellow tone.

well I picked up my pathy after work last night and went out for a spin. the mechanics who installed it said it wasnt too bad of an install, the old system came out ok and in tact. the fit of the new system looks real good, everything lined up and the tip comes straight (parallel to the ground) out ...

So i will have feedback later tonigiht or tomorrow. the system is HEAVY shipped weight was 54 lbs i think, the pipes seem to be thick-walled and the muffler is a beast. well-packaged, with p...

blink- thanks for your comments, performance-wise notice much? I must admit, based on your previous comments about the SS system, and the fact that I am unsure i will be happy with the sytem, i purchased the aluminum system. I did not want to drop $500 on a SS system that i may end up butchering up ...

yeah, I have some friends who have a shop and do all my work. I will try to give them the heads up on the 'issues' others have encountered. I think i may have them just use the supplied clamps and drive for a while to see if it needs some adjusting, then once it settles in and i confirm no rattles/i...

Gibson On the Way

Just ordered the Gibson cat-back from autoanything.com Eager to see how it goes, I know there are mixed reviews. I looked into custom setups from 2 places and came back to my original plan. I will have it installed on my upcoming oil change. I currently have the injen intake and run mobil 1. I plan ...
