Does anybody know how the auxiliary cooler performs in traffic with the rad taken out. I heard that there might be problems with overheating while stuck in heavy stop and go traffic in hot weather... Nonsense, whoever told you that isn't thinking clearly. A transmission would never overheat in stop...

You're looking for the two hoses that connect to the bottom of the rad. Remove the plastic trim pieces under the bumper, then remove the metal skid plate. All in all its about 10 bolts. Once they're off, you'll see the two hoses. One takes fluid into the rad, the other one takes it back out. You're ...

I didn't cut mine either, saw no reason to. Zip-tied it up out of the way.

Anybody with a socket set and 30 minutes to spare could do the mod. So yeah I guess that includes AAMCO.

You don't even need to install an aftermarket cooler, you can just bypass the stocker. There's even pictures and a tutorial posted in one of the links.

Its being beat to death already... http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=2139&sid=97c9638ef57ffa6ff1d2c0e0a02f5935 There's no sense asking the limited number of people who post here to tell you if they've had the problem. A simple google search will get you dozens and dozens of hits for t...

Nissan is at the bottom of the list when it comes to reliability. I bought the Pathfinder without doing too much extensive research and the price was right... but I won't keep it for more than a year or two. My brother's Sentra blew the headgasket at 50k, and its apparently a common issue, just like...

This isn't exactly on-topic I suppose but I can't get my rear window open on my '05. Am I missing something? Its just a solid handle right and its supposed to unlock when the doors are unlocked right? I pull but nothing happens. Its latched shut.

That's fair, but I figure there isn't really much fluid left over in there anyway, and if some gets into the coolant it's no big deal. I can't think of anything that would get damaged from a little bit of ATF getting into the coolant.

Why leave them open? I didn't want the remaining fluid leaking onto my driveway, and I don't want coolant leaking in case the failure does happen. If the seal between the cooler and the radiator does fail it won't make a difference now, so I really don't care either way. As for your other question, ...

I just bypassed my cooler as well, took about 30 minutes to do. Very quick and easy job, if any of you are wanting to do it but are unsure because of the work involved, just go for it. Its really quick. You'll need a 12mm socket to remove the plastic valance and skidplate, there are about 10 bolts o...

I am kind of surprised that you guys don't seem to be too concerned about taking away cooling capacity by bypassing the in radiator cooler and not replacing it with something else. I was a little concerned that the B&M cooler that I added in wouldn't be adequate to make up for bypassing radiato...

Can you snap some pics of the setup maybe? What size hoses and fittings did you need?

I'd like to do it too. Did you have to remove stuff to get to it or was the install pretty straight forward?

I've stumbled across numerous posts that state it does indeed have multiple coolers.. but that makes no difference. The fact is that there's a transmission oil cooler built into the rad, and something can happen where coolant will find its way into your transmission. I'll post up details after I've ...

Im picking up my Pathfinder tomorrow and its going straight to the garage for an oil change, Im gonna have the trans oil changed and checked out as well. If it appears that its been in contact with coolant I'll have a full flush done and either have the rad replaced or an aftermarket cooler installe...
