Stopped in to the Nissan dealer that work on the heating/cooling system on my PF to see why they never called me back. The service writer said that Nissan told them that it is normal for the system to only put out hot air at 89-90 degree setting and cold air when set to anything below 89 degrees. Th...

Sounds great, going to do that to my 2012 PF now. Have been holding off because I thought it would be a all day or tow day job. Do they make a air bag set for the front end of the PF too?

Your PF looks good with and without the pinstripe and molding. My choice would be to have left it on the PF. The black roof top looks good, the black hood not so much, keep in mind that a black roof will create a lot more heat inside the PF.

Very nice pictures and write up abut your trip. This is the first time I seen this thread, I will look harder next year just in case you do this again.

Well should have known the we were special here in CA.  Anyway I'm pretty happy with the MPG the PF is getting for the power under the hood. Can't wait to see how it does towing on our next camping trip.

Interesting, that some of you are getting less MPG in the winter as to what you get in the summer time. I check my gas mileage every time I fill up and have never notice a difference on any of my cars or SUV's. Can't say for sure if this is going to hold true with the PF as I have only had it since ...

Good information, as I'm getting ready to hook the tent trailer up to the PF for the first time this weekend.

Thanks,

Use Slick 50 in my Chey's, a 90 1500 pick up and 93 1500 Suburban both 125,000 miles on them before selling each one off. Lot of those miles were pulling a 30 foot travel trailer, about 5,200 lbs, with out any problems. From what I have been reading about todays engines, they are made different comi...

"Oil additives (Lucas, Slick 50, Seafoam, et al.) are not a good idea."
Good question, I use Slick 50 in three of my Chev trucks (early to mid 90's) and never had a problem. Now with these newer engines I don't know if it's a good idea to use oil additives.

Unique, no. Nissan seemed to be aware of the problem, just had no idea of how to fix the problem. My main complaint is that they have never called me back with an answer of any kind.
