Stereo Size E

Has anyone successfully installed a E size stereo in the pathfinder. I have a 2005 XE, with the stock radio. Crutchfield says it won't fit, but their dash kit specifically mentions size E. Anyone tried this?

If you do not fold your middle row flat, there is some room over the hidden storage compartment, but it would prevent you from folding the middle row, middle seat, flat. There seems to be plenty of room under both front seats. You would have to lift the amp somehow over the vents, but just make some...

I had always read that aftermarket 6x9's won't fit in the front door. It sounds like they do? Did you need to modify anything (new holes, bracket..etc)?

With my Sentra I used to get almost 3/4 of a gallon over the first stop. With my 05 Pathy it hardly takes any top-off at all.

I had a lot of fuel gauge issues with my 2004 Sentra that I just traded in for a pathfinder. I would fill up and the gauge would not go all the way up. I finally tracked the problem back to not taking the key out when I filled up. Most of the time, I would turn the key off but leave it in the igniti...

Those numbers above were from the local shop. The dealer left me a voice mail earlier with their numbers. For remanufactured calipers they are $549, each. Add in labor, front rotors, turn rear rotors, new pads all around, and fluid flush and the grand total is......$1,889.00. Yeah...they are not go...

Re: 2005 Pathfinder Rear Rotor Removal?

Hey folks, I am in the middle of a rear brake rotor change on my 2005 Pathfinder SE Off Road. Calipers came off w no problem, also axel nut, but I can't seem to pull the rotor away at all. Is there something I'm missing in the removal process??? HELP! Yes... The giant hammer! Not sure if you need t...

I just did my first oil change on my (new to me) 2005 Pathfinder. There is a little chute that is meant to divert the oil, from the filter being changed, out through the removable hatch. Unfortunately its capacity is practically nothing. If you unscrew the filter slowly, allowing for the oil to drai...

When you say you refill it...does that mean that it runs out (stops flowing out the nozzels)? Perhaps there is some junk blocking the outlet of the resevoir and when you put fluid in, it stirs it around, only to settle out eventually. I don't know if it's easy to pull the resevoir, but it may come t...

The manual says the resevoir is 1.2 gallons and that is what mine takes. there may be a problem with your resevoir. Did it start recently?

I have always had problems with the standard, blue fluids that claim they are good to -20 F. They have always freezed up on my.

For the past few winters I have used the name brand (Rain-X, Prestone, etc.) De-Icer/Bug Remover fluid and never had a problem since.

I only had a problem once with the tab, unfortunately, that problem was snapping it off in my hand. I guess I'll just have to McGuyver something in there.

Cheapest test is the free one following the service manual. Raise the front end, open the system, bring it up to temp and burp the system. Exact steps can be found in the troubleshooting section. Can someone post the "procedure" for this. I have the FSM as a PDF but could not find a toubl...

In-Cabin Microfilter Door Bolt

Does anyone know what size bolt this is. I bought my PF new and when I went to change the filters it had no bolt.

Thanks

Is there a separate valve to the heater core? Isn't it regulated by the temperature control knob, on the dash? This same issue is happening with my 2005, which I just bought. If i run it in the driveway, the temp gauge comes up, but no heat out of the vents. If I start it up and drive it cold, it he...
