Re: Front Brake Replacement

Haven't done it myself, but it looks straightforward. Elpeede posted a very thorough video a week or so ago. Look for it about 10 threads down, or here: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=6771

Sounds like Nissan's confused them selfs about whether it's a extended warranty or it's recall. I got the 72k extension letter a while back - probably around 80k ;) Weird that I got this one as a "second notice." I'm anal enough that if I did get the first notice it would be in the truck'...

Uhhh, mine says recall. After reading more closely, it would appear that Nissan is ignoring all but the 2006 and 2008 MYs.

Re: small update

Called Nissan and customer service said my trucks out of warrenty... They said to take my truck to the dealer, get a diog. of the repairs and call them back.. They will see what they can do. I'm only 38 days over my warrenty.... I hope they'll cover it :| Call Nissan NA back and ask them about the ...

Nicely done. I'm about to undertake this on my Passat, and after seeing your video, I'll probably do the Pathy next time the front brakes are due for replacement.

In case you have not checked out their webpage, they do list other available gauges: http://www.scangauge.com/support/xgauges-for-iso-vpw-vehicles/ By the way, I found that my SG2 said the system protocol for my 2006 PF is: ISO. Thought they would have used a “CAN” system. Another site I plan to se...

I use the Bully Dog GT... http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=5628&highlight= I knew I saw something here earlier that worked - thanks! So how do you like it now that you have had it for a while? Any reason not to save some $ at this point with the Bullydog Watchdog for ~$216? Also, ba...

Trans temp gauge options

I've been searching in vain for an easy way to monitor trans temp before (and after) I do the trans by-pass. The best I've come up with thus far is a 52mm gauge and sender mounted with an M10-1.0 to 1/8" NPT adapter kin the existing port on the trans. My in-dash "pocket" is full of my...

Am I alone in thinking that the new Pathy will be the (slightly) down-market version of the JX?

2WD only!?!

I just got off the phone with H&R specifically to ask about the non-AWD note, and they told me the springs were for 2WD Pathys only :(

That is awesome! I'm thinking a little grey carpet or a universal floormat would complete the look. Might have to try this soon for a 4.5 hour roadtrip where my wife wants to be in the middle row with our infant, and our 3 year old in the back.

Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors or the Goodyear fortera triple treads. The silent Armors are a more aggressive but not as aggressive as the duratracs. I had them on my 99 Jeep and loved them. They come with a 50k mile treadlife warranty as well. I'd also look into th 100 dollar air bags for the rea...

Corroded or gummed-up contacts in the switch maybe? You might want to try the R50 forum - it could be a known issue. Good luck!

Stebel Magnum horns?

Apparently these things draw 6 amps each (12 total - I originally wrote 3 each, but that appears to be a mis-quote based on a 24v version). Anybody know what gauge the horn wire is? Any real reason to put a direct battery connection in for 12 (not 6) amps worth of horn? The service manual shows a 15...
