Could you briefly explain how this device helps efficiency?
Is it because there is a little more area that the fuel can atomize?
Just wondering how this idea came about.
Thanks,

At what point does torq converter engage?

Could a tech tell us how the TC is designed to operate under various conditions? To me it seems too willing to unlatch with the slightest pressure from the gas pedal. I note that lock-up occurs ~45-50MPH when up to engine temp and in 5th gear. Yet, so easy to unlock. When towing in 4th, again too ea...

No modifications made, just had the orig radiator replaced for preventative reason only.

Had this 06 PF less than 1 yr & first time towing this camper w/PF. Had camper more than 10 yr. No problem w/98 Tahoe 5.7L, but it was a struggle w/93 S10 Blazer 4.3L (200HP?)

what radiator did you wind up choosing? I don’t see any name on it. Invoice says “BKB Radiator”. As for doing a bypass, all I would like to mention is my first experience in towing my 3K#, 20’ lightweight (?) camper with this PF thru some PA interstate grades this past weekend: Had to use 3rd gear ...

Well, it’s in the shop for a radiator swap for preventative reasons only. You guys have put the “fear” into me, for sure. At 71K miles, I’d rather pay ~$400 now than a possible $7K later… which we can ill afford. On a side note, a year ago I started looking hard at the Nissan line-up and its ability...

While I can not specifically speak about your problem, as my training is limited, I can give some generalities of a/c systems. My guess is that the Freon level is low. You have “high pressure” and “low pressure” switches for safety. If Freon is low, the pressure will be too low to turn the compresso...

replace the radiator now???

So far there is no transmission oil in the coolant on my 2006 PF, 4x4, mfg in 10/2005, with the original Nissan Calsonic radiator, 71K miles, tow pkg. But after reading scores of horror stories, I’m running scared. Also other car brands have been dealing with this but to a lesser extent, by what I r...

Mine only gives average, too. At any time you can reset MPG and the (b) part of the trip odometer to give info on shorter distances. By the way, it updates its calculations every 20(???) seconds. Years ago I added a kit to a 98 Tahoe that would give instantaneous MPG, among other things, but had to ...

Can not comment on price, just be aware there are two common axle sizes out there.
One is 2000#
Other is 3500#
The choice is determined by what you intend to carry.

As a former electronic tech that repaired printed circuit boards, but having never removed my own 2006 IPDM board, I will make a few “assumptions” from the above statements. Yes, relay contacts can get pitted and go bad. However, when the relay was removed & reinstalled then soon thereafter give...

For info, while pulling the trailer: 60MPH in 4th - 2900 RPM 60MPH in 3rd - 3600 RPM 50MPH in 4th - 2400 RPM 50MPH in 3rd - 3000 RPM While not pulling the trailer: 60MPH in 4th - 2500 RPM 60MPH in 3rd - 3000 RPM That tells me that the torque converter (TC) is not locking up and generating a lot of ...
