Be aware that a bad guy will cause the alarm to go off in hopes that you get so aggravated that you turn the alarm off, and then he breaks in.

Others may provide a reasonable malfunction.

I grew up thinking that I could get better mileage by not using cruise. However, by using the ScanGauge2 & monitoring “instant MPG” I am finding that cruise is a good thing since the gas pedal on the PF is so touchy. So other than not using it going up hills, I am using cruise a lot more.

My thinking on this matter is a result that I own a ScanGuage2, I can see instantaneous MPG [among other things]. The PF trans is so computer controlled, it NEVER gets decent MPG until 5th gear & torq converter lock-up, which happens at ~40MPH with a light foot. So to change gear ratio, I would ...

I tow an rPOD trailer with the 2013 PF CVT. It is a dream. Smooth towing good mileage, no hunt of gears ... Best TV ever had. Thinker, Welcome & Thanks for posting. Could you tell us the MPG and the usual speed you drove at? Over on a RV forum there was a discussion of the rPod, that it did not...

Re: 2.5 Litre Diesel MPG

The Diesel Model for a 2 Tonne truck sips fuel, I get 9.5 L/100km (25MPG) on average and have gotten down to 8L on a country trip, (30MPG) Here in North America, someone has determined that the American public can easily afford vehicles that get poor mileage vs. the diesel. Count yourself fortunate...

Poor radiator construction is not made perfect with good maintenance.

Nissan has an improved tensioner, so might want to see the dealer for one.

I bought my PF 3 yr ago with 67K miles. Since they had the oil changed before purchase, I drove it for a while before I noted some weird noise under the hood, even at idle. Anyway I put MotorKote (10 oz for the PF) in the oil. Never heard it since & I have 90K on it now. While some may scoff, I ...

Last week went to Best Buy to look at radios. My CD is stuck (basic OEM radio) & thought MP3 & USB in the front would be nice to upgrade to. They had only one double din radio that fit my basic needs and it was $149. I knew going in an install labor was $60, but with all the adapters needed ...

Just a comment, Batteries for cars are designed to give lots of cranking amps for a short period whereas RV/marine/solar backup/EV batteries are designed/rated to give “X” amount of continuous amps per hr over a 20 hr period where it then reaches a max discharge of 80%. If not discharged to that ext...

My wife's just hit around 115,000. We've had a few problems, but nothing too major yet. I have done the bypass yet and not sure if I will. I haven't had any issues so far in the department. Knock on wood. Too many think the radiator problem will not affect them. I would not gamble a mere $400 for a...

Re: I know what you mean..

I bought my 06 path. used from a dealer. The previous owner installed some kind of turbo on the engine and it just flies past the street racers. I have no problems merging onto the highway and it's a great feeling. Sometimes feels like I'm in Ferrari with the take off speed. Nissan put a rather low...

This experience shows that a voltage reading not under load does not prove the battery is OK. Terminals or internal connections between the 6 -2.1V cells can fail. A test I have used in the past is to observe the brightness of the interior lights. Does it dim or go out when headlamps turned on? If Y...

By mistake, the passenger side front wheel went off the driveway. Put it in reverse and I was stuck, no traction. Put it in 4WD and it backed out with no problem. Found out that 4WD position activates the ABS circuit, so that any spinning tire gets braked. Got to hand it to those engineers who found...
