I'm wondering if there is a recomended mileage to replace the water pump. I don't seem to read any posts in regards to this. Anyone had premature failures? what would this job cost at the stealership? I am at 210,000 miles and going strong but this worries me now.

good write up! I am approaching 200K Miles without any differential issues. It was filled with synthetic from the factory so change intervals are not that frequently necessary. Maybe next month in my to do list.lol

aside from checking your coolant , check to see if the fan clutch is engaging and if the coolant fan is turning on.; either of those will hinder proper cooling and cause overheat.

To the OP, I misunderstood your question when you said timing cover and I thought you meant valve cover.

I've heard of this on the VQ35 which I also own (Quest 3.5) and as a matter of fact this past weekend I was under there with a mirror and a flashlight and I saw it , it's a tiny leak but it's the begining I assume. I've not seen it on my Pathy so far.
